The Christmas Ceilidh Band will return to Park Presbyterian Church, 110 Maple Court, Newark, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1 to usher in the holiday season with Christmas songs and merriment from the Celtic nations.
Kevin Angus adds whistles, pipes, percussion and vocals to The Christmas Ceilidh Band’s ensemble. Drawing from his Scottish roots and love for jazz, Angus experiments with rhythms, sound and humor. Other band members include Ben Ford, Pat Carey, Paul Gluchowski, Bevin Lynn and Cathy McGrath.
Tickets cost $5 in advance and $8 at the door, and are available at (315) 331-2255, parkchurch110@gmail.com or at the church. Children ages 17 and younger can attend for free.
A Celtic dinner of shepherd’s pie, salad greens, applesauce, scones and breads, dessert, and a beverage will be served at 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and must be purchased in advance.
