Two Rochester teens were arrested in Sodus for trying to outrun cops, but were caught after their car broke down.

SODUS — Two Rochester teens are in hot water after they were arrested in Wayne County after a police chase.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, a 14-years old teen was charged with fleeing from police and the older one, a 17-year-old, is charged with drug possession.

The chase  started Wednesday night just after 9:30 p.m. on Ridge Road after a deputy tried to stop the vehicle for an alleged traffic violation.

The cannonball run came to an end after the duo’s car broke down in a field near Rte. 104.

The 14-year old was sent to the Hopewill Juvenill Detention Facility and the 17-year-old was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, apparently a form of concentrated cannabis.
