A Texas police officer has been extradited from Moore County, Texas, to Wayne County in connection with the recent double homicide in Sodus.
Texas authorities arrested Bron Bohlar, 34, a police officer in Sunray, Texas, on Nov. 6 for a warrant issued in Wayne County. The complaint alleges that Bohlar was part of the conspiracy that led to the shooting deaths of Joshua Niles and Amber Washburn in front of their Sodus home. An arraignment has been been scheduled yet at Sodus Town Court.
Josh Niles’ ex, Charlene Childers, 25, the mother of Niles’ children, is being accused of conspiracy and weapons charges. She is accused of helping to plan the double homicide due to custody issues. Childers is currently behind bars in Wayne County with a $100,000 bail. Timothy Dean, who faces murder, conspiracy and weapons charges, is still being held in Texas.
Court documents say Childers, Dean, and Bohlar all talked about killing Niles several times and they allegedly both helped Dean rent the car he used to drive from Texas to New York. Deputies say Dean was the triggerman.
The investigation is ongoing.
