MACEDON — Died on Nov. 6, 2011 at age 71.
Predeceased by his parents Vincent and Carmela Caringi. Survived by his wife Karen; children, James (Brenda) Caringi, Pamela (Stephen) Brown; grandchildren, Darla, Josephine, Madelyn, Rand, Peyton.
After 33 years in education, he retired as principal of Palmyra Elementary School in 1995.
Friends called Thursday, Nov. 10 from 4-7 p.m. at Payne & Murphy Funeral Home at 1040 Route 31 in Macedon. His Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Patrick’s Church. SMITHFIELD — Roland left his earthly body to soar with the eagles on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011. He will be sorely missed by his sisters, brothers nieces, nephews and many, many friends in New York, North Carolina, Florida, Texas and Arizona.

Santos was born the son of Modesto and Paula (Santiago) Rodriguez on Oct. 28, 1958 in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He enjoyed fishing, horse racing and music. But above all, Santos loved playing with his grandchildren.

NEWARK — Died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at Clifton Springs Hospital at age 74.
Friends called Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Schulz-Pusateri Funeral Home at 103 Maple Court in Newark. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m., at East Newark Cemetery with full military rites accorded. Floyd was born in Newark May 14, 1937, son of William and Reva Fitch Steinruck. He worked for Gleason Foundries in Rochester for 28 years. He had also worked for C.H. Stuart Co., in his earlier years. He served in the Army from September 1960 to September 1962. He was a member of the August Mauer Post American Legion, where he served as past Vice Commander and Service Officer for many years. He served as Vice Commander for the county American Legion. He was a member of the American War Dads of the VFW. He was a member of Newark Elks Lodge 1249. He also was a member of the 40&8.
Survived by his companion of 49 years Terry Lee Safford, two sisters, Betty Cromheecke of Palmyra, and Barbara DeCook of Newark, his brother, Morris of Newark. Niece, Joyce & Marty Bell of Waterloo, several other nieces, nephews, and many, many, friends.
Predeceased by brothers, Arnold, & Clifton; sisters, Ruth, Hazel, Rosetta, Shirley, and Melba.

MARION — Entered her heavenly home on Nov. 1, 2011 in her 86th year.
She was a lifelong faithful member of the Second Reformed Church of Marion.
Survived by her loving and devoted children, Cheryl (Gary) McLouth of Marion, Stephen (Kathleen) VanderMolen of Florida; Amy (Michael) Davis of Marion, Dwight VanderMolen of Florida; special grandchildren, Melissa (John) VanHall, Meredith (grant) Mark, Jeremy VanderMolen, Jonathan VanderMolen, Joshue (Michelle) Davis, Mackenzie Davis; beloved foster son David Howard Brown; eight adored great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Tina Nortier, Alberta Nortier DeRue; nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and her dear friend Hazel VanHall. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles VanderMolen, and brothers Carl Leonard and Nelson Nortier.

NEWARK — William John “Bill” Vermeulen, 84, entered eternity on Saturday Nov. 12, 2011 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Family and friends called Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc. at 124 W. Miller St. in Newark. A Mass of Celebration will be Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church in Newark. Burial in East Newark Cemetery will full military honors following mass.

Mr. Vermeulen was born the son of the late William and Leona (Cauwels) Vermeulen on Wednesday, March 16, 1927 in Oostburg, Netherlands. Bill lived most of his life in the Newark area. He retired from Fold Pac in 1988. He enjoy hunting and exercising and working out. He and his dog would walk for hours and both loved it.
The funeral home proudly flies the Air Force flag in his honor of his service to our country. Bill was a veteran of three United States military branches, serving in the Navy, Army, and Air Force, including wartime service during World War II. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Japan Occupation Medal by the United States Army.
Mr. Vermeulen will be remembered by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor Mae (DeCann) Vermeulen; his children Karen (Vermeulen) Morton and her husband Steve, and William James Vermeulen and his wife Rebecca; grandchildren: Jarrod and Jessica Vermeulen; David, Shannon, and Sara Morton; Kylar and Jackson Vermeulen.
Bill was predeceased by his eldest sons Steven John Vermeulen in 1955 and Thomas Paul Vermeulen in 2008; brother Peter Vermeulen in 1985.

Fred was born in Geneva Sept. 22, 1929, the son of William and Margaret Murphy Wright, He was a longtime archery equipment dealer in Phelps, where he lived for over 40 years. He operated a boatyard in Geneva on Routes 5 & 20 in his earlier years. He attended St. Michael’s Church in Lyons and had live in Lyons for five years. He served in the National Guard.
Survived by his wife Mae Sechler Wright, four sons James Keagle of North Rose, Matthew (Tammie) Keagle of Wolcott, Mark (Corinne) Keagle of Lyons and Jason (Dawn) Keagle of North Rose; daughter, Teresa (Mark) Miller of Lyons, 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, sister Carol Wright of Geneva; brother William Wright of Waterloo; nieces and nephews.
