Bixby, Gloria J.
NEWARK — Gloria Jean Bixby, 68 entered eternity on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at her home with family and friends by her side.
Family and friends called Friday, Nov. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. All other services will be private. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Gloria was born the daughter of the late Dayton and Christina (King) Newcomb on Friday, August 11, 1944 in Newark. She graduated from Newark High School the class of 1963. Gloria was a member of the Phelps American Legion Auxiliary and past member of the Palmyra Moose Lodge where she had held many offices. She enjoyed playing bingo, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
She worked for Garlock Corp. in Palmyra for many years, and she and her husband delivered the newspapers in the Newark area for 10 years.
Gloria will be remembered by her loving husband Paul E. Bixby; sons Matthew Rayno and Aaron Rayno; step-son Kevin Bixby; step-daughter Tina (John) DeVey; grandchildren Colton, Kayla, Ciera, Isaac, Jacob and Max; a very special great grandson Kyle; brother Clark (Linda) Newcomb; sisters Barbara Bartoletti and Elizabeth (Merle) Nye; many nieces and nephews; special friend Stephanie Kidman and light of her life Katelyn.
Gloria was predeceased by her brother Richard Newcomb and brother-in-law Sam Bartoletti.

Colacino, Anthony T. ‘Tom’
NEWARK — Anthony “Tom” Thomas Colacino “Tom”, 76 entered eternity on Wednesday, Nov.14, 2012 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Family and friends attended a Memorial Mass, Saturday, Nov. 17, 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church , Newark. Burial will take place in Newark Cemetery with full military honors.

Tom was born the son of the late Thomas J. and Irene (Vincent) Colacino, Feb. 5, 1936 in Newark. Tom graduated from Newark High School in 1953. He attended St. Bonaventure and SUC Potsdam graduating in 1967. The staff at the funeral home proudly flies the Army Flag in honor of his service to our country. Tom also taught elementary school in the city of Rochester, worked at the recreation department of Newark State School and was active in the family business, Rose Bowl Lanes. Tom was a member of the Newark American Legion, Newark VFW, a charter member of the Knights of Columbus and was a board member of Newark-Arcadia Volunteer Ambulance for many years.
Tom will be remembered by his sister, Margaret Colacino; sister-in-law, Kenna Colacino; nephews, Christian, Patrick and Chad Colacino.
Tom was predeceased by his brother Eugene in 2003.

Cornwell, Dayna Yvonne Mae
CLYDE — Baby Dayna Yvonne Mae Cornwell, entered eternity on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Family and friends attended calling Sunday, Nov. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St., Newark. A graveside service was held Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Sodus Rural Cemetery, Sodus.

Baby Dayna was born the daughter of Lance and Kerry (Reuter) Cornwell on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.
Dayna will be remembered by her parents, Lance and Kerry; brother, Ayden Sanzotta; sisters, Byanca Cornwell and Brieanna Reuter-Sampson; maternal grandfather, Randy Reuter of Lock Berlin; paternal grandparents, Yvonne and Robert Cornwell of Sodus; several aunts and uncles.
Dayna was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Edna Reuter, in January 2012.

Moore, James, S. ‘Jim’
Veteran, US Navy, WW II  

ONTARIO/CANANDAIGUA — Died on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, suddenly, at the age of 86.  
Survived by his three children, Nancy Moore, Donald (Nancy Jimerson) and Alan (Ann) Moore; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Don) Schiffer, Melissa (Ray) Miller, Christie (Eric Barton) Moore, Vanessa (Dennis) Stevens, Jessica (Jamie) Learch, Amy (Nick Hugecz) Klee, Megan Klee, Garrett Moore, Wesley (Tamara) Moore, Laura Moore and Keith Moore; 13 great-grandchildren; cousin, Clark R. Moore "Shifty"; other relatives and friends.  
The son of the late Norris and Carrie Suydam Moore, Jim held a degree in electrical engineering from Clarkson University. Jim was born in Rochester and had lived in the Syracuse and Canandaigua areas for many years before moving to Ontario six years ago. Jim served in the United States Navy during World War II. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery service.
Friends and family were invited to call on Friday, Nov. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario. A graveside service was held on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery, 63 Stark Street, Waterloo.

Nicosia, Joseph L.
NEWARK — Joseph L. Nicosia, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Friends called 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. Father Felix Dalimpuo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16 at St. Michael’s Church, S. Main St., Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery
Memorials, in his name, may be made to St. Michael Church, 401 S. Main St., Newark, NY 14513 or to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489.
Mr. Nicosia was born on July 8, 1929 in Auburn, the son of Sebastiano and Anna Visile Nicosia. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church where he was an usher for many years. Joe owned and operated Wayne Beer Distributing retiring in 1998 and most recently helped his son at Joey’s Northside Grocery. He was a member of the Newark Fire Department, Arcadia Hose Company #2, the Newark Elks and the Newark Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his son, Joseph “Joey;” a daughter, MaryAnne and son-in-law, Michael McCarthy all of Newark; a brother, Vincent Nicosia of Naples, Fla.; grandchildren of the heart, Anthony and Michael Bogan, Erin, Jake and Sarah Barrett.
Joe was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Rose; his parents, Sebastiano and Anna Nicosia; and stepfather, James Iati.

Rogalski, Esther Hilton  
MACEDON/WALWORTH — Died on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer.  
Predeceased by her parents, Harlan and June Hilton; and sister, Nancy Hilton. Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Paul Rogalski; children, Laura (Dan) Bogel, Ellen (Joe Sano) Tolleson, Paul (Josh) Whitman and Robert Rogalski; grandchildren, JoAnna Tolleson, Victoria  and Nathaniel Bogel, Bryce Whitman; sister, Barbara (Richard) Stalker; brother, Harlan (Robin) Hilton III; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Jim) Aman, Joan (Denny) Zimmer; uncle, Bernard (Marie) Hilton; step-mother, Lillian Winn Helfer Hilton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Esther was born on May 13, 1943 in Clifton Springs. Esther graduated from Wayne Central schools and worked as a salesperson with Ames in Ontario. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many family, friends and caregivers for all their support.

There will be no prior calling. A celebration of Esther's life was offered at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 50 Main Street (Route 31), Macedon on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 9 a.m. Interment will be private.

Shultz, Harold C.
SODUS — Harold C. Shultz, 98, entered eternity Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Clifton Springs Hospital.
He was born Aug. 11, 1914 in Arcadia. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Walzer) in 1998 after 56 years of marriage; brothers, Leslie, Carl, George, Earnest; sister, Martha (DeRue); and great-granddaughter, Shay. He’s survived by sons, Donald (Marion) and Roy (Barb); seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
He worked at Morgan Machine Shop in Rochester. In 1945 they bought and ran a dairy farm in Sodus for 16 years. He then worked at National Mobile Homes in Sodus as a welder and retired from General Crushed Stone at age 67. In his retirement he kept very busy doing welding repairs, continued riding his Harley, and enjoyed family.
Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main St. in Sodus hosted calling hours Saturday, Nov. 17 from noon to 2 p.m. with funeral services immediately after followed by a graveside ceremony at 3 p.m. Condolences may be expressed at www.hsnorton.com.

Smalley, Betty M.
NEWARK — Betty M. Smalley, 84, suddenly, and peacefully, entered eternity on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at her home.
Fulfilling Mrs. Smalley’s wishes there will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends may attend a Memorial Service Saturday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc. 124 W. Miller St., Newark, NY.
Mrs. Smalley was born the daughter of the late George and Florence (Ackerman) Miller on Sunday, Feb. 26, 1928 in Sayre, Pa. She graduated from Hornell H.S. and had a long career as a private secretary in 3 different states, before retiring from Spall Homes in Pittsford. For many years, she attended the First United Methodist Church of Newark, and was a member of the Newark American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Smalley was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, J. Robert Smalley; her sisters, Jean Wertz and Janice Hinman; brothers-in-law, John Wertz, George Hinman; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Miller and Marilyn Geniver.
She is survived by her two loving children, daughter, Darlene (Roger) Johanson of Newark; son, Steven (Cathy) Smalley of Minnesota; grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan Johanson and Jennifer, Courtney Smalley; brothers, George Miller (Ruby) of Oklahoma, Edmund Miller(Ethel) of Orchard Park, N.Y.; Gary Miller of Kenmore, N.Y.; many nieces and nephews; and many friends, including special friend, Anne Roemer.

Snyder, Rosalie L.
PALMYRA — Snyder, Rosalie L. died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at the age of 89.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Zion Episcopal Church in Palmyra. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman St., Rochester, NY 14620.
Rose was born on Oct. 15, 1923 in Clifton springs, the daughter of Aloes and Mary VanOpdorp Schroo. Rose was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, canning, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. Rose was voted “Best Pie Maker” by her friends and family.
Mrs. Snyder is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Snyder; daughter, Judith Jacobs; sisters, Alice Compson, Margerite Eddington and Emma Schroo; and brother, Lawrence Schroo. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (John) Braun; sons, Lawrence Jr. (Judith), John (Karen), James (Sandy), Thomas (Anne) and Joseph Snyder; 25 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
