CLYDE- Mrs. Barbara E. Arnitz, 72, of 111 Wayne Ave, died unexpectedly Monday (February 6, 2012) at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital following a brief illness.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday (February 9th) from 4-7PM at the Baris Funeral Home 87 W. Genesee St. Clyde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (February 10th) at 11:30AM in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church with Rev. Augustine Chumo officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Clyde.

Barbara was born on March 22, 1939, the daughter of Dr. Richard E. and Mary Norton Gibbons. She was a life-long resident of Clyde and member of St. John's Church. Barb was retired from the Transportation Dept of Clyde-Savannah Central School where she had driven school bus for many years and worked in the cafeteria. She had participated in numerous school bus rodeos, was a past member of the Catholic Daughters of America (Gleason Court) and enjoyed both interior decorating and shopping. Barb's greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters Maureen (David) Gasbarro of Newark, Sharon (Mike) DeRenzo of Clyde and Mariellen (Tom) Viola of Webster; her sons Mark (Donna) Arnitz of Newark and Gus Paul Arnitz of Clyde; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; her brother Edward (Sue) Gibbons of Smithfield, RI.; a son-in-law Dan DeLisio of Clyde and a daughter-in-law Jamie Arnitz of Wolcott.; many nieces,nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Barbara was pre-deceased by her loving husband of over 49 years, Gus A. Arnitz Jr., and her brother Richard Gibbons.

Phyllis was born in Phelps December 24, 1914, daughter of Frank & Etta Sebring English. She had worked at Sarah Coventry and for A & P in her earlier years. She was a member of St. Mark's Church & Newark Senior Citizens.
Survived by four sons; Gary (Nancy) Colgrove of Clifton Springs, Jack, David & Steve Priebe of Newark. Daughter; Sandy Jones of Newark, five grandchildren; Jack, Greg, Jennifer, Vicki, & Dana, three great-grandchildren; Devon, Mark & Anna.
Predeceased by husbands; Fay Cheeseman (1979) & Jack Priebe (2000).

Newark — Madelyn K. Nieske died, on her 95th birthday, Tuesday (February 7, 2012) at the Wayne County Nursing Home.

Mrs. Nieskes was born on February 7, 1917 in Lyons, New York, the daughter of the late Camiel and Rose DeVulder Koekhuyt. She had worked for many years at C.H. Stuart’s Home Decorator and then for the Newark School District, retiring in 1972. A communicant of St. Michael’s Church, Madelyn loved to cook and entertain and was an avid bridge player.
She is survived by eleven nieces and nephews. Madelyn was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Vincent, in 2010 and two sisters Mary Tange in 2002 and Carolyn Butters in 2010.

PALMYRA/MACEDON/ONTARIO: Died suddenly on February 10, 2012 at age 41. Beloved husband of Kris; father of Collin and Shaun; son of Margaret Murphy and Stephen (MaryLou) Murphy; brother of Dan (Amanda); nephew of George (Cindy) Trapp; son-in-law of Ann and Charlie Schmidt; brother-in-law of Mike (Kim) Cahill; uncle of Ashley, Amanda and Hannah Cahill. Also survived by many cousins and friends.
Mike was a New York State Licensed Funeral Director and was owner of Murphy Funeral Services of Ontario, Palmyra, and Macedon. Mike was also involved in many civic and professional organizations and had a joy for life that marked all of his actions.

We are all better people for having him in our lives. He will be always loved and sadly missed.

Mr. Robson was born August 12, 1933 in Newark the son of the late John M. and Mabel Belle Elwell Robson. For 16 years, he was the yard foreman at Phelps Cement, retiring in 1996. Prior to that, John had worked at Gleason Works in Rochester and Caves Lumber in Newark. A Korean Conflict veteran, he served a year and a half in Korea. He was a member of the August Mauer Post American Legion and the Arcadia Memorial Post VFW. John loved to hunt and especially enjoyed family trips to casinos
He is survived by two sons John Jr.(Cheryl) of Newark and Guy (Christine) of Fairport. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren Ashley, Amanda, Cole, Melissa, Allison and Kristy and three great grandchildren Loren, Aydin and Brynnan. John was predeceased by his wife of 45 years Grace in 2003; three sisters Isabel DeTaeye, Josie Rybak and Betty Evans.

Clifton Springs – Mildred Vanderwall Tellier, 95 entered eternity on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at F.F. Thompson Hospital.

Mrs. Tellier was born the daughter of the late William and Mary (Geerade) Vanderwall on June 24, 1916 in Rochester, NY. She graduated from Palmyra High School in 1934. After earning her certificate she worked as a Certified Occupational Therapist for Newark Developmental Center retiring in 1975. For many years she volunteered for the Girls Scouts. She and her husband moved to North Carolina after retirement. There she volunteered for the School System for Chowan County and later was a substitute teacher. Mrs. Tellier enjoyed sewing and knitting and was an artist (painter). Several of her paintings have been sold or auctioned over the years. There are many of her paintings hanging in the halls of Ashton Places in Clifton Springs.
Mrs. Tellier will be remembered by her daughters Ann (James) Peck of Newark and Martha (John) Spiess of Ohio; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; brothers Roy and Earl Vanderwall; many nieces and nephews.
