Newark — Conway, Ann Vincenza, 86, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Father Felix Domingo will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. March 20 at St. Michael Church on South State Street in Newark. Burial will take place March 21 in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
Mrs. Conway was born on June 11, 1926 in Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of Alexander and Frances Rivetta Papa. She moved to Newark in May 2003 from Larchmont, where she had lived for many years. She retired in 2001, after 24 years of service as a crossing guard in Larchmont. She also had been a matron for the Village of Larchmont Police Department. Vincenza had been a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Larchmont and is now a communicant of St. Michael Church in Newark.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Laurich, of Newark; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Allison and Hunter Laurich; a sister Rose Muoio, of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
Vincenza was predeceased by her husband Donald W. Conway in 1990; a sister Marie Cicchetti; and four brothers, Vincent, Edward, Albert and Alexander Papa.
