Bushey, Wilber E.
ONTARIO — On Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at the age of 79.  
Born on July 19, 1933 in Ellenburg, N.Y. Wilber is survived by his wife of 53 years, Laura; sons, Edmond (Mary) and Ivan Bushey; granddaughter, Sophrena Bushey; five special grandsons, Christopher, Adam, James, Cameron and Jacob; brother, Clarence (Cathy) Bushey; sister, Berna Trumble; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Wilber retired from the Farrell Corporation in Rochester, and had served in the United States Army.
Friends and family visited on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. only, at the Murphy Funeral Home, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario. Wilber's funeral service was at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, in the funeral home. Interment will take place at Furnaceville Cemetery.  
Memorials in memory of Wilbur may be directed to either the DAV, or Wounded Warrior.

Cardinal, Mary
NEWARK — Mary Cardinal, 63 entered eternity on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at her residence after a brief battle with cancer.
Family and friends called Thursday, Nov. 1 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St., Newark. Burial will take place in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Oak Corners.

Mary was born on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1949 in Newark. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and was an avid baseball fan. Mary had a strong faith in God and loved jewelry and music.
Mary will be remembered by close friends Elizabeth Sharman and her family, Sandy Kinney, Bud Cooper, Joe Pici and many caregivers.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Edward and her mother Edith E. Page.

DeCann, Lucy M.
NEWARK — Lucy M. DeCann, 85, of West Sherman Avenue, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.
Friends called Thursday, Nov. 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Schulz-Pusateri Funeral Home, 103 Maple Court in Newark. Funeral services weree Friday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lucy was born Dec. 13, 1926, in Newark, the daughter of James and Catherine Inzara Tavano. Lucy worked for the Newark Developmental Center for 30 years. She was a member of the St. Michael's Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Marie LaBombard, Kathleen (David) Schlesselman, Nancy Lee of Newark, David Colarocco of Florida, and Frederick (Lynn) DeCann of Hawaii; stepchild, Bonnie DeCann and her special friend, Ernie Navarro of Newark; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson, due on New Year's Eve.
She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Robert E. in 2006; her parents, James and Catherine; daughter, Carol VonWiegen of Hawaii; three brothers, Paul, Frank and Anthony Tavano; four sisters, Connie Taylor, Marion Welling, Josephine Edwards and Rose Colarocco; and son, Robert in October of 2012.

Dorman, Rev. Thomas F.
HENDERSON/NEWARK — Rev. Thomas F. Dorman, 65 went home to the open arms of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
Family gathered privately at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc. for calling hours followed by a Memorial Service.

Rev. Dorman was born the son of the late Charles and Norma (Potwine) Dorman on Friday, Nov. 22, 1946 in Newark. He graduated from Sodus Central Schools in 1965. Over the years he worked for Eastman Kodak Co. and Xerox Corp. He loved staying at the cottage in Henderson, N.Y. and all of the North County. Lake Ontario was his soul mate in times of sadness. Fishing, hunting, his pets Hobo and Jackie Tackey were things he enjoyed. Rev. Dorman was a fan of Survivor, NCIS, Amazing Race, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Ford pick-up trucks and Antiques. He so much enjoyed Grandma Brown Beans, Country Music, Gospel Music, animals and birds. He was very proud of his Native American heritage and when he was ordained as a minister. He loved his Lord and Savior with all his heart.
Rev. Dorman will be remembered by the love of his life, Joyce (Sumpter) Dorman; brother, Robert Dorman of Sodus; sister, Lorrie (Glenn) Harris of Pultneyville; many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Rev. Dorman was predeceased by his brothers, Roger “Rod” Dorman in 1987 and Charles “Ed” Dorman in 2000; sister, Sheryl Dorman in 1944; sister-in-law, Vivien Dorman in 2005.

Morse, Daphne ‘Joan’
NEWARK — Daphne (Joan) Morse, 90, formerly of Newark, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at Rochester General Hospital.
A memorial service were held Saturday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, Lyons.

Joan was born in London, England Sept. 14, 1922 daughter of George and Ethel Bowles Purdy. She served in the British Airforce. She had attended Grace Church. She had been living in Ontario.
Survived by two sons, David (Kolleen) of Irodoquoit, Christopher of Fairport; daughter, Hartranft of Palmyra; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister.
Predeceased by her brother, Roy.

Rotach, Harold
CLYDE — Mr. Harold Rotach, 88, formerly of 1574 Lockpit Rd., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the Wayne County Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Family and friends were invited to call on Monday, Nov. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W. Genesee ST. Clyde. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dana Rattray officiating. Burial was Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Clyde and will be private.
Mr. Rotach was born on Aug. 7, 1924 in Clyde, the son of the late Charles and Lucy Colegrove Rotach. He was a lifetime resident of Clyde, and had been previously employed by the Caprilla Roofing and Siding Co, of Clyde for many years. Harold was a "handyman" to everyone and will be sadly missed.
Surviving are his sisters, Mrs. Daisy O'Brien of Clyde, and Mrs. Mary Bowman of East Syracuse; his brother, Charles of Newark and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by his lifelong companion and friend, Betty Snyder; his brother, Glen; and his stepfather, Charles Rogers.

Sedore, Lonnie J.
NEWARK/LYONS — Lonnie James Sedore, 47, died on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Friends called noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark. Funeral services followed the calling hours at 2 p.m.   Burial will be in East Newark Cemetery.
Mr. Sedore was born Feb. 19, 1965, in Sodus the son of the late Ralph and Barbara Luther Sedore. A life-resident of the area, he had been a self employed painter. Lonnie was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Lyons and a volunteer at the animal rescue Cracker Box Palace in Alton.
He is survived by his good friend, Marsha Fulkerson; and her three children, Joley, Destiney and Tim; his three children, Kamie and Ryan Sedore and Greg Ostrander; several grandchildren; his sister, Lori Lindstrom; three brothers, Les, Leon, and Lenny Sedore; many nieces and nephews.

Schutte, Deborah R.
LYONS — Deborah R. Schutte, 64, of Debusse Road, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at DeMay Living Center.
No services are planned.
Deb was born in Victor, Oct. 21, 1948. She had just celebrated her birthday. Born to Robert and Ruth Manual Schutte. She had worked at DeMay Living Center in the kitchen for five years. She had a passion for horses.
Survived by her companion, Ghrig Muir of Lyons; son, Jerry Crouse of Syracuse; daughter, Kathy of Canandaigua; sister, Jane Baxter of Ocala, Fla.; two grandchildren.

Sherman, James D.
MARION — Age 71, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.  
Born Dec. 5, 1940 in Washington State Ruth Walgren. He was adopted at age 10 by Lawrence (Larry) Sherman prior to moving to Bismarck, N.D.
Friends and family may call on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 from 11 to 11:30 a.m. The Memorial Service will immediately follow from 11:30 a.m. to noon at The United Church of Marion, 3848 N. Main St., Marion.
He is preceded in death by mother, Ruth; father, Larry; brother, Gary; sister, Joy; and wife, Kathy Walters Sherman. He is survived by wife, Susan Rhody-Sherman of Marion; daughters, Bonnie Sherman Nettles of Lee's Summit, Mo., Jean Sherman McCool of Wamego Kan., Patricia Sherman of Denver, Colo., Cheryl Sherman Lewis of Cobur, Ore. and Erika Sherman Montague of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his stepchildren, Mary Rhody Dorochowicz of San Francisco, Ca., and Jack Rhody of Anchorage, Alaska; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one stepgrandchild.
