Gregory, Janice
NEWARK — Formerly of Watertown, N.Y. and Ocala, Fla., Janice Gregory, 76, entered eternity on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at her daughter’s home with loving family by her side.
There will be no prior calling hours. Locally, family and friends gathered today Sunday, Oct. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Phelps American Legion to celebrate Janice’s life. A funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at The First United Methodist Church, Route 37 in Waddington, N.Y. followed by a gathering in the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will take place in Lisbon White Church Cemetery.

Janice was born the daughter of the late Howard and Marjorie (Wilson) Chadboure on Dec. 16, 1935 in Waterboro, Maine. She graduated from high school in 1956. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards and board games. Spending time with family and grandchildren was always a great time for Janice along with camping. She was a long time member of TOPS Club.
Janice will be remembered by her daughter, Susan (Norman) Danforth; son-in-law, Duane Simmons; daughter-in-law, Elsie (CJ) Henry; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn (Russell) Darling; stepbrother, John Hay; stepsisters, Sally Hay and Jean Hay; many nieces and nephews.
Janice was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Gregory in 2005; son, David in 1983; daughter, Barbara Simmons in 2004; grandchildren, Jeffery Danforth in 1980, Christina Simmons in 1982 and Christopher Simmons in 2000; great-grandchild, Xander Simmons in 2001.
