NEWARK — Died on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at the age of 61.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Arcadia Memorial VFW Post No. 2883, 25 E. Union St. in Newark. Contributions in memory of Jonathan may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
Jon was born on April 21, 1940 in Newark, to David B. and Jane Altrip Crane. Jonathan was a member of the August Mauer American Legion Post, the Arcadia Memorial VFW Post and the American War Dads. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Navy flag in honor of Jonathan’s service to our country.
Jonathan is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughters Laurie (Ron) Santino and Amanda McFaul; sons David C Crane and Sgt. John T. (Lauren) McFaul; brothers David W. (Donna) and Thomas F. (Marie) Crane; grandsons Bobby and Nicholas Julian and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents David B. and Jane Crane.

ONTARIO — Died on Oct., 27, 2011 at the age of 84.
Predeceased by his son Allen Doyle, brother Thomas Doyle. Survived by his wife Hazel of 62 years; son Stephen (Diane) Doyle; grandson Matthew (Keri) Doyle; granddaughter Kelly (Mathew) Auger; sister Rosemary (Peter) Ternisky; several nieces and nephews.
Friends called Sunday, Oct. 30 from 2-4 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home at 1961 Ridge Road in Ontario. His Mass of Christian Burial was held 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31 at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, followed by his Committal Service at Marion Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Wayne County Humane Society or Williamson Come Unity Center in his memory.
Hasseler, Russell R.
NEWARK—Russell R. Hasseler, 67, died Wednesday (October 26, 2011 at the House of John in Clifton Springs.
Friends called from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home a, 127 E. Miller St. in Newark. A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 at the funeral home. Burial in Sodus Rural Cemetery.

Mr. Hasseler was born Sept. 22, 1944 in Adams Center, N.Y., the son of Alvin and Florence Woodruff Hasseler. A graduate of Adams Center High School in 1962, he earned a degree in education from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1967. He was an elementary math teacher for the next 13 years, teaching in several schools, including Sodus and Newark. Then he worked in retail stores and for eight years managed the Kwik Fill Station in Newark. Russ also was the assistant manager of the money room at the Finger Lakes Race Track for 22 years. He retired in 2003 from Kodak, where he was a security guard for five years. “Rockin Russ” was well known in the area playing his keyboard. He was a member of R&R Band featuring the music of the 50s and 60s. A member of the Newark Elks and the Erie Flacon County Club, Russ enjoyed golf and his pool league, as well nature and photography.

He was predeceased by parents and a sister Kathleen Hasseler.

NEWARK — Entered eternity on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at her home.

Mrs. Jacobs was born the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie McKaig on Sunday, July 16, 1922 in New Jersey. She worked at Perkins School as a secretary. Knitting, reading and music (old country western and spiritual songs) were a few things Mrs. Jacobs enjoyed. After retirement she moved to Sanford, Florida where she was very active in her church.
Mrs. Jacobs will be remembered by her daughters Carolyn (Thomas) Jaeger of North Rose, Sharon (Robert) Bade of Marion, Donna (Bruce) Garrett of Palmyra and Judy Tidd and her friend Phil Sullivan of Port Gibson; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister Sallie Kinzy of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jacobs was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur Jacobs in 1991; granddaughter Sara Baker-Fuller in 2001; sisters Lila, Leah and Rae.

Bart Severson of Lyons Presbyterian Church. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
Larry was born in Poughkeepsie April 6, 1933. He worked at Key Industries in Newark and had lived in the group home for 25 years. He liked to walk. He was a member of the Lyons Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his family at Catholic Charities Community Services and the Frank Quinn Family of Lyons and many friends.
Wilder, Charles B. "Chuck"
LYONS/WOLCOTT — Died Sunday, Oct., 23, 2011 in Syracuse at the age of 48. Friends called Friday, Oct. 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home at 77 William St. in Lyons, where services were held Saturday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. King Lewis. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Lyons.
Chuck was born in Newark, N.J. Nov. 2, 1962, son of Charles and Helen Johnson Hodge. He was a cook and heavy duty equipment operator. He served in the National Guard in the Army from 1981 to 1987. He loved to fish.
He is survived by his son, Jermiah Wilder of Albany, his father, Charles Hodge of Wolcott, three sisters: Valerie Hodge Davis of Florida, Pamela Colton and Darlene Wilder of New Jersey. His brother, Robert Wilder of Syracuse, personal friend, Maria Moore, other half-brothers and sisters, host of nieces, nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Helen.

Mrs. Woodard was predeceased by her husband Dean and brother Joseph Parisi. She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Roger) Hyde, Kathryn (Dave) Pray and Wynne (Gilbert) Brien; grandchildren Amy (Michael) Vitale, John and Betsy Pray; great-grandchildren Abigail, Amanda, Anna, Victoria and Rebbecah and cousins Frances Lesswig and Marian Stuewe.
