Celso, Donna M.
NEWARK — Donna M. Celso, 56, of Redlands, Ca., formally of Newark, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 in Fallbrook, Ca.
Ms. Celso was born May 31, 1956, the daughter of the late Rocco and Madeline Landini Celso in Newark. She graduated from Newark High School in the class of 1974. Donna started her career with the New York Telephone Company before moving to Daytona Beach, Fla. in 1984 to complete an A.A. degree in graphic arts. She later finished a B.A. in graphic arts at Florida State University. She was employed by ESRI in Redlands, CA as a graphics designer. She enjoyed painting, running, photography and her pets.
Ms. Celso is survived by two brothers, Craig of Sodus Center, and Brian of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Anita Henderson of Fallbrook, Ca.; and several nieces and nephews.
Donations can be made to Visiting Nurse Association of the Inland Counties, 42-600 Cook St., Suite 202, Palm Desert, CA 92211.

Davison, Kenneth J.
NEWARK — Kenneth J. Davison, 76, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at his home in Fairville.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Ken’s life from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Fairville Fire Hall.
Memorials, in his memory, may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, New York 14489.
Mr. Davison was born Aug. 27, 1936, in Sodus the son of Clarence and Sarah Vanderlinde Davison. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and a member of Local No. 832 in Rochester. Ken also helped around at many area farms. He enjoyed his many carpentry projects and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by wife of 53 years, Ann (Woodhams) Davison; a son, Daniel (Charity) of Marion; two daughters, Wendy Davison (Kevin Bracy) of Chateaugay, N.Y. and Lori Davison (Michael Murphy) of Sterling, Va.; seven grandchildren, Ryin, Kayla, Liam, Kylie, Carli, Austin and Allison; a brother, Robert (Barbara) of Sodus; and sister, Carol (Ron) Baker of Sodus; several nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Dean; and a sister, Elaine Leggett.

Hackett, Jacqueline A.
PALMYRA — Hackett, Jacqueline A., died on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at the age of 62.
Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main Street, Palmyra. Please join the family for a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31 in the Macedon Village Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Palmyra Moose Lodge. Donations of food for the luncheon should be delivered to the Moose Lodge on Route 31, Palmyra.

VanBortel, Mrs. Katherine
CLYDE — Mrs. Katherine (Kay) VanBortel, 102, formerly of 164 West Genesee St., died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at the Wayne County Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
At Kay's request, there will be no prior calling hours, and grave side services will be private at White Haven Memorial Park. A memorial service will be announced in the spring.
Memorial contributions to the Clyde Volunteer Ambulance Corp, PO Box 236, Clyde, NY or to the Wayne County Nursing Home, 1529 Nye Rd., Lyons, NY 14489 would be appreciated.
Kay was born in Walworth on March 2, 1910, the daughter of Peter and Carrie Kelshur LaGasse. She and her husband ran VanBortel Dairy in Clyde for over 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Harry VanBortel, in 1992.
Mrs. VanBortel was a member of the Vandenburgh Chapter of the Eastern Star, and the Clyde Grange. Kay loved taking care and watching her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years Harry VanBortel in 1992.
Surviving are her daughter, Betty (Robert) Chappell of Newark; her son, Paul (Diane) VanBortel of Clyde; her twin sister, Gertrude Gill of Macedon; her grandchildren, Karen VanLiew, Lorene (Nicholas) Molisani, Julie (Timothy) Arliss, Jill (Daniel) Clemente and Peter (Sonya) VanBortel; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by her son, Neil VanBortel; her daughter, Eleanor Godkin; her great-grandson, Derrick Chappell; and her grandson, Kevin Chappell; seven sisters and two brothers.
The VanBortel family has entrusted the Baris Funeral Home of Clyde with Kay's funeral arrangements.
