I want to remind all registered voters that Election Day is fast approaching. The polls will open at 6 a.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Please vote. Many of us take for granted the right to vote for the people selected to be our leaders — a right that millions in other countries don’t have.

I want to take this opportunity to share with you my support for the re-election of Palmyra town Supervisor Ken Miller, and why I support him. I am sure by now everyone knows that he had a lapse of good judgment  and was arrested, charged, and pleaded guilty to DWI. Since I met him some time ago, I have learned to both like and respect him. Since his arrest, I respect him even more.

He didn’t make excuses or denials. He owned up to what he did was wrong, and he vowed that it will never ever happen again. I believe him. He is one of the most straight-arrow guys that I know, his word and handshake is his bond.

What many people don’t know is the amount of time that he puts in for the people of Palmyra, at the Town Hall, and the Wayne County Board of Supervisors. He attends numerous workshops and townwide inspections, and attends to personnel problems, budget meetings, etc.

I can go on and on before I will be able to cover all of his duties. He loves the town of Palmyra and its people, and has become a seven-day, 24-hour supervisor.

I believe that he is the best town supervisor that I know, or will ever know. That is why I support his re-election.
