Rochester Knighthawks forward Stephen Keogh participated in the Total Sports Experience boys and girls lacrosse clinic held today, Feb. 22.

The clinic benefited the Ricky Palermo spinal injury tournament. The tournament raises money for organizations who help improve conditions for those with spinal injuries, including the Miami Project, the United Memorial Medical Center's emergency room, the Strong Memorial Hospital's Spinal Unit and the Genesee County YMCA's Bike Program.

"We want to do things for people in our community," said Batavais Palermo, who suffered a spinal injury in 1981, according to a press release. "We want to bring more bikes to the area." Learn more about the organization at www.rickypalermo.org.

Keogh, along with the Philadelphia Wings' Brodie Merrill and former National Lacrosse League and Major League player Merrick Thompson, worked with kids in grades seven through 12.

The Rochester Knighthawks next take on the Toronto Rock at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the Air Canada Centre.
