The Buffalo Sabres started an online auction Thursday, Jan. 26, for game-worn home and away jerseys from the first half of the 2011-12 campaign.
Among the jerseys being auctioned off are the ones from an Oct. 8 game against the Los Angeles Kings in Berlin.
Each jersey includes a certificate of authenticity. The jerseys from the game in Berlin will also include the 2011 NHL Premiere Series patch.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation, which is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in western New York region. Its efforts include assisting with youth hockey initiatives, especially those that aid the underprivileged and handicapped.
