Lyons, Sodus bowling match results from the Thursday, Jan. 5, games are in.
The Wayne County High School Bowling League rolled at the Rose Bowl on Thursday. Lyons' boys team came out ahead in a close competition, with a final score of Lyons 2646, Sodus 2636.
Lyons' Boys started off strong with a game one total of 961 to Sodus' 811. In the second game, Sodus took the lead with 935 to Lyons' 875, and again in game three, with a total score of 890 to Lyons' 810.
Sodus high scorer Kyle Wren bowled an individual total of 604, with a high score of 221 in game three. Lyons bowler Kyle Alexanian bowled a high score of 223 in game three, also beating Wren's score in game two with 191 to Wren's 189, but ultimately couldn't top Wren's three-game total.
On the girls side, Sodus took the lead with a total score of Sodus 2038, Lyons 1781.
Sodus' girls dominated all three rounds, with total scores of 691, 696 and 651. High scorer Destiny Leroy (536) left her competitors in the dust with a high score of 204 in the first round. Her game two total of 146 was edged out both by fellow Sodus bowler Caylee Hanson (167) and by Lyons leader Kim Colbert (187). Leroy returned to form in game three with a high score of 186, once again demolishing all competition.
