Deputies of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office are investigating a personal injury motorcycle accident that occurred in the town of Marion at 9:53 a.m. Thursday, May 31.
According to the police report, Robert Lootens, 75, of Venice, Fla., was driving his motorcycle northbound on Route 21. He attempted to turn right onto North Main Street and went off of the east side of the road.
The motorcycle went into a grassy area and overturned. Marion EMS responded to the scene. Lootens was transported to Newark Wayne Hospital by Marion Ambulance.
