As part of the Buckle Up New York initiative, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office manned a traffic control point on the evening of Friday, June 1 in Butler.
The point was established along Route 104. During the effort, deputies and investigators issued 11 traffic summonses and made three arrests. They include John S. McBride, 57, of the 100 block of Depew St., Rochester, on driving while impaired by drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance; Nathan T. McVeigh, 21, of the 200 block of Pemberton Road, Rochester, on unlawful possession of marijuana; and Carly M. King, 19, of the unit block of Carson Drive, Oswego, for possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21.
