  • Wayne County sheriff's deputies are looking for a missing teacher from North Rose-Wolcott School District.
Sheriff's deputies say Frederick Dunn, 48, of Wolcott, was working at the school Wednesday afternoon with students on the school play.  Deputies said he told students that he had to leave to run some errands and he did not return.
Deputies located Dunn's car around 8:30 p.m. at the end of Dutch Street in the town of Huron, near the Lake Ontario.
Because of the weather, deputies were unable to put a boat into the lake, but they did conduct a search around the area Thursday.
North Rose-Wolcott School District superintendent John Walker released this statement Thursday evening:
"All in the North Rose-Wolcott School District are deeply anxious regarding Mr. Dunn's disappearance. We keep his family and friends in our prayers. We remain hopeful for a positive ending. Know that Mr. Dunn has 27 years of dedicated service to our music program and students, and freely shared his love of music and the arts with many wonderful people in our community."
Deputies do not suspect foul play. Anyone with information is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at (315) 946-9711.
