  • On March 20, Andrew Purdue, Vice President of the ExxonMobil Chemical’s Films Business in Macedon, presented a check for $86,000 from the ExxonMobil Foundation to Susie Earl, United Way of Wayne County Board President.
"We are proud to support United Way’s efforts to make a stronger community by addressing the needs faced every day,” Purdue said.
The Foundation’s generosity is representative of its commitment to the people within Wayne County.
“When our community needs help, our friends at ExxonMobil have always come through with incredible results,” said Carol Pettis, Regional Director for United Way of Wayne County. “People in our community are struggling to provide basic needs for their families and it’s reassuring to know that we have been so fortunate to count on ExxonMobil’s strong leadership and support to help those in need.”
In addition to its corporate donation, ExxonMobil conducts an annual in house campaign which aims for 100 percent employee participation.  This year, $69,166 was pledged from the employees.  Currently the company is running its retiree campaign during United Way’s annual spring appeal and will also participate in Day of Caring activities in May.
