In observance of National Dairy Month, the Wayne County Dairy Princess, Norene Meyer, visited the first baby born in June at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and his parents and presented them with a gift basket of dairy-themed gifts. Blake Butler, son of Mandy Hughes and Keith Butler, from Marion, was born on June 1 at Newark-Wayne.

In observance of National Dairy Month, the Wayne County Dairy Princess, Norene Meyer, visited the first baby born in June at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and his parents and presented them with a gift basket of dairy-themed gifts. Blake Butler, son of Mandy Hughes and Keith Butler, from Marion, was born on June 1 at Newark-Wayne.

“I’ve learned that it is important to have at least three servings of dairy products every day to help maintain strong muscles, bones and teeth,” said Meyer. “This can include milk, yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, ice cream or any dairy food you like.”

Norene is entering her sophomore year at Nazareth College and is studying Music Therapy. She lives in Newark and works part-time at El-Vi Farms.
