The Wayne Technical and Career Center (WTCC) Power Mechanics/Conservation team led by seniors: Zackary Smith of Palmyra-Macedon; Chad Mattice of Red Creek; Ben Minkau of Sodus; Andrew Reid and Dylan Whitcomb of Williamson achieved first place finishes in four events at the New York State Conservation Competition held at Paul Smith’s College on May 17.

Newark: Luke Pasquale, second place in Land Judging.

North Rose-Wolcott: Jordon Reed, second place in Team Pulp Throw.

Palmyra-Macedon: Zackary Smith, first place in Axe Throw, third place in Team Pulp Throw.                                                                                        

Red Creek: Chad Mattice, first place in Peavey Log Roll, third place in Team Pulp Throw; Lucas Reynolds, second place in Team Pulp Throw.

Sodus: Benjamin Minkau, first place in Peavey Log Roll, first place in Team Fire Building (Water Boil), third place in Team Pulp Throw.

Wayne: James McDade, second place in Team Pulp Throw.

Williamson: Andrew Reid, first place in Land Judging; Dylan Whitcomb, first place in Team Fire Building (Water Boil); Stephen Niniowsky, second place in Team Pulp Throw; Samuel Niniowsky, third place in Team Pulp Throw.
