Firefighter Tomasz Kaczowka, just 19, died as a result of two gunshot wounds.
The two were responding to a reported structure fire at 191 Lake Road, in Webster, about 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, when they were allegedly "ambushed" by a resident there.
The suspect, William Spengler, died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot to his head.
There was no evidence of any other gunshot wounds to Mr. Spengler.
