IEC announces new board member
IEC Electronics Corp. (NYSE MKT: IEC) announced that Edward W. Kay, Jr. has joined the Company’s board of directors. The Company also announced that Amy L. Tait has advised the Company of her decision not to seek re-election at the 2013 annual meeting of stockholders.
Edward W. Kay, Jr. is a certified public accountant and brings extensive experience in financial, securities, and business matters to the board. Mr. Kay spent his 30-year career with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP (PwC) working with companies in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, software and technology. During his tenure with PwC he served in many capacities, including among others in the Accounting and SEC Service practice section of the national office, as leader of the firm’s technology practice in Dallas, TX, as Managing Partner of the upstate New York practice and most recently as Managing Partner, Rochester Office. He retired in June 2012.

IEC awarded $5.1 million order
IEC Electronics Corp. announces that it recently received an order from one of its Military customers valued at approximately $5.1 million. Deliveries are expected to commence during IEC’s fiscal 2013 second quarter and continue into fiscal 2014.
“Our customer is a well-known, top 20 prime defense contractor supplying several innovative communication platforms, national security solutions and electronic systems support for the military,” said W. Barry Gilbert, IEC’s Chairman and CEO. “This award will provide soldiers with mission-critical ground support equipment. We appreciate their continued confidence in IEC and we view this award as a statement of our solid relationship.”
Jamko Granted WBE Certification
Jamko Technical Solutions, Inc., a US-based remote visual inspection company, today announced that is has received certification as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). This certification was obtained through the regional certifying partner of the Woman's Business Enterprise National Council.
WBENC’s national standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business, the organizations finances, and a site inspection & interview. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51 percent owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women.
