Garfield and Gretchen are available for adoption at the Humane Society of Wayne County at 1475 County House Road in Lyons.

Garfield is a 3-year-old, neutered, orange tiger kitty. He came to the shelter because his owner had too many cats and couldn’t care for them all. He likes other cats and is here with his sister, Rosie. Garfield gets along with dogs and enjoys being brushed. He has a very sweet disposition and enjoys playing with toys. Garfield is available through the Adult Companion Program.

Gretchen is a 4-year-old, spayed, white and liver German short-haired pointer. She came to the shelter with her brother, Blitz, because their owner could no longer care for them. They both get along with other dogs and are learning about cats. They both know how to sit and walk on a leash. Gretchen and Blitz are both available through the Adult Companion Program.

For more information, call the shelter at 946-3389 Tuesday through Saturday or stop by the Humane Society at 1475 County House Road in Lyons.
