Aronson obtained her doctorate in Education from the University of Rochester; her certificate in advanced study degree from SUNY Brockport; a master’s degree in education from Nazareth College; and a bachelor’s degree in public justice/political science from SUNY Oswego.
She also served as Principal of Bio-Science and Health Careers High School in the Rochester City School District from September 2007 until August 2009.
    • Brett Provenzano, Principal since July 2005 of the Johanna Perrin Middle School in the Fairport Central School District.
Provenzano received his certificate in advanced study degree from SUNY Brockport; his master’s degree in general education from Nazareth College; and his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Rochester.

Cook completed the Superintendent Development Program at SUNY Oswego; received his certificate in advanced study degree at the University of Rochester; his master’s degree in social work at Syracuse University; and his bachelor’s degree in psychology at SUNY Geneseo.
He also worked as Director of Educational Services and Director of Special Programs from July 2007 until May 2012 in Lyons Central School District.

He also worked as Principal of Sodus Middle School from December 2003 until June 2007.
The finalists were selected by the Board of Education after it interviewed eight candidates April 27.
Those eight candidates were selected from a field of 34 applicants provided to the Board by The Warner Center for Professional Development and Education Reform, an affiliate of the Warner School of Education of the University of Rochester.
The Warner team, retained in February to assist in the superintendent search, sought candidates based on input it received in March from Board members, students, staff, parents and community members about what experience and personal qualities they would most like to see in the next Superintendent of Schools.
Each of the four finalists will be coming to the NCSD and will tour the schools, and meet with students, staff and community groups throughout the day before having dinner with and meeting with the Board of Education.
Page 2 of 2 - Aronson will be coming to the district May 13; Provenzano on May 20; Cook on May 21; and Kise on May 22.
Soon after the Board will discuss information gleaned from its meetings with the four finalists as well as additional input received from students, staff and community members based on their meetings with them.
Individuals who would like to be part of the community group meetings with the finalists should make arrangements by calling 332-3217.
