  • Eagle gymnasts win team, individual titles at Lucky Stars Invite

  • The Level 4, 5 and 8 teams from Eagle Gymnastics competed in the Lucky Stars Invitational in Orchard Park over the weekend of March 15-17. The Level 5 team earned first place, and the Level 4 team earned second place.

  • The Level 4, 5 and 8 teams from Eagle Gymnastics competed in the Lucky Stars Invitational in Orchard Park over the weekend of March 15-17. The Level 5 team earned first place, and the Level 4 team earned second place.
    In Level 8, Alexa Rizzo, of Canandaigua, took first place in all five events in the 8-to-11-year-old division. Rizzo won the vault (9.3), bars (9.75, beam (9.625) and floor (9.9) to amass 38.575 points to win the all-around competition. Danielle Callard, of Farmington,  won the all-around competition in the 12-to-13-year-old division, with first-place finishes in the bars (9.6) and floor (9.7).
    In Level 5, Jenny Martin, of Victor, took first place in the 7-to-8-year-old division. Martin scored 37.775 total points that included first-place finishes in the floor (9.65) and beam (9.75). Mollie Haus, of Canandaigua, was took third in the Beam (9.6), floor (9.35) and vault (8.1) to earn third in the all-around (35.65). Madeline Pitts, of Victor, took first place in the bars (9.4).
    In the 9-to-11-year-old division of Level 5, Katelyn Burger, of Palmyra, won first place in all four events to take first in the all-around. Burger won the vault (9.6), bars (9.7), beam 9.95, and floor (9.8) to finish with 39.05 points. Jana Day, of Bloomfield, finished second to Burger with 38.1 total points, including second place in the floor and bars. Maya Gjonbalaj, of Canandagua, was next in third with 37.975, including second place in the beam. Leah Vaugh, of Macedon, was fourth with 37.85 points overall, and Bailey Chudner, of Victor, was ninth overall.
    In the 12-and-up division of Level 5, Elizabeth Ergil, of Geneva, earned first on the beam (9.8) en route to a first-place finish in the all-around with 37.6 points. Delaney Halbrook, of Farmington, won first in the floor (9.75) and bars (9.55) to take third all-around.
    In Level 4, Addison Leasor, of Newark, won the all-around in the 6-to-8-year-old division with 38.15 points, which included taking first on the beam with 9.4. Belle McKee, of Canandaigua, took first on the bars (9.6). Hannah Kaplun, also of Canandaigua, was second on the beam (9.15). Madison Moore (Shortsville), Rose Kendrick (Geneva), Olivia Dramer (Canandaigua) and Kiley Dohse (Walworth) also competed in the 6-to-8-year-old division. Katherine Ergil, of Geneva, took sixth in the all-around in the 9-to-11-year-old division.
