    NEWARK – Martha Elizabeth (VinGee) Ward, 94, entered eternity on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Rochester General Hospital with her loving family by her side.
    Fulfilling Mrs. Ward’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Family and friends may attend a graveside service on Tuesday (March 6) at 3 p.m. in East Palmyra Cemetery.

    Mrs. Ward was born the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Hoad) VinGee on Saturday, December 29, 1917 in East Palmyra. She was a graduate of Newark High School in 1935 and later attended a business school. After serving for 32 years at Eastman Kodak Co. (Kodak Park) she retired in 1980. Mrs. Ward was a member of the East Palmyra Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and baking.
    Mrs. Ward will be remembered by her daughter Sandra Erklenz of Fairport; grandchildren Suzanne (Lawrence) Newton of Greece, Paul (Mary) Ward of OH., Scott (Jovy) Ward of Japan, Lisa (Jeff) Liles of Rochester, Michelle (Miles) Erklenz-Watts of Fairport and Christopher (Pamela) Erklenz of CT; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters.
    Mrs. Ward was predeceased by her husband Fred F. Ward in 1958; daughter Helen Ward in the late 1940’s, son David Ward in 1970, sister Carolyn Engels in 2009 and son-in-law James Erklenz in 2001.

    White, Jacky L.
    CLYDE- Mr. Jacky L. White, 78, died Thursday March 1, 2012 at the Wayne County Nursing Home following an extended illness. At his request all services will be private.
    Memorial contributions to the charity on one's choice would be appreciated.
    Mr. White was born in Centertown, Kentucky on September 16, 1933, the son of Clyde and Myrtle Fielder White. From July 14, 1951 until July 13, 1955, Mr. White served in the US Air Force. It was during the height of the Korean Conflict. On November 13, 1951 he married the former Anna Marcella and they eventually settled in Clyde when his service to his country ended.
    Mr. White had lived in Clyde for over 50 years and he was retired from the Newark DDSO, where he had been employed as an electrician and plumber. He enjoyed working in and around his home, and watching basketball and baseball. He was a big fan of both the Kentucky Wildcats and the Cleveland Indians.
    Surviving are his wife of over 60 years, Anna White of Clyde; his son Jacky E. (Barbara) White of Clyde ; his three grandchildren, Kelly (Tony) Varalli of Clyde, Bobbi (Philip) Arliss of Clyde and Jacky (Amanda) White III of Savannah, six great-grandchildren; his sister Patty (Frank) Hoover of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews.
    The White family has entrusted the Baris Funeral Home of Clyde with all funeral arrangements.

    Van Gorder, Diane
    WOLCOTT - Diane Van Gorder, 72, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012.
    Mrs. Van Gorder was born on May 30, 1939. She is survived by her children Lynn (Alice) Van Gorder of Wolcott, Chris Van Gorder of Reston, VA., and Randy (Lourin) Van Gorder of New Port Richie, FL.; granddaughter Kaitlynn and grandson Shadow; brother-in-law Dean Van Gorder of Newark and Richard Cole of Port Gibson; several nieces and nephews; and Ruth Starck, long time companion of Wayne Van Gorder.
    Mrs. Van Gorder was predeceased by her husband Gary Van Gorder in 1999; sisters Sally Deem of Phelps and Kathy Cole of Port Gibson; brother-in-laws Wayne and Eric Van Gorder, Bob Deem; and by sister-in-laws Irene and Kate Van Gorder.
    There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be Sunday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford St. in Wolcott.

    Markham, Gerald R.
    MACEDON - Died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at age 46. Predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Anne Markham (Fairfield), father William Arthur Markham, sisters, Candy Mears, Nancy Fore, brother William Markham. Survived by his loving wife Tracy (Dovan); daughter Amanda Lafferty-Markham; son Hunter Markham; mother & father-in-law Jean & Frank Dovan; brother Jim (Janet) Markham; sisters-in-law Patricia Markham, Karen (Ed) Smith. Jerry was an avid hunter & fisherman, & will be missed by all.
    Family and friends may call Friday, 4-8 p.m. at the Payne and Murphy Funeral Home, 1040 Rt. 31, Macedon, where his Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. Interment is at Irondequoit Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hunter’s Educational Fund at Summit Federal Credit Union in Jerry’s memory.
    White, Clarice (Lincoln)
    ONTARIO, N.Y. - Died peacefully on February 27, 2012 at her home surrounded by family.
    Predeceased by her husband Douglas in 1989. Survived by Bonnie White Ocke, Terry White, Douglas “Mickey” White; grandchildren, David White, Tessa Ocke, Jason (Meghan) Desiderio, Adam (Amy) Desiderio; great grandchildren, Emily, Christopher, Michael, Sierra, Zack, other relatives and friends.
    All are invited to call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 1961 Ridge Rd, Ontario. Her Funeral Service will be held privately.
    Smith, Judith (Judi) Ann
    GREEN VALLEY, AZ. - Judith(Judi) Ann Smith, Soulmate, Wife, Best Friend of David, passed away on February 26, 2012, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
    Mrs. Smith was born in Indianapolis, IN., and moved to Newark when she was 18. She live here until her youngest daughter reached the age of 18 in 1976, then moved out to Hollywood, CA., to fulfill a life-long dream of becoming an actress. She went to acting school and did have a fine career as an actress.
