  • A Manchester man was killed Thursday in a two-car, head-on crash on Route 31 in Macedon, according to the Macedon Police Department.
Police responded at about 9:45 p.m. to a two-car crash on Route 31 between Alderman and Yellow Mills roads. Police said Paul A. Anderson, 62, of Armington Road, was driving east on Route 31 when his vehicle was struck head-on by a westbound vehicle operated by Linda Lucas, 66, of Linnet Street, Rochester.
Anderson was killed on impact, police said. Lucas was extricated from her vehicle with lower extremity injuries and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. She was listed in satisfactory condition at the hospital, as of Friday morning.
Assisting with the accident investigation were members of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team and Road Patrol, New York state police, Macedon Fire Department and Macedon Town Ambulance.
Macedon Police Chief John Colella said the investigation is continuing, but that alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors.
