  • A Red Creek man was charged Wednesday, July 10 after he allegedly forced his ex-girlfriend into his car and threatened to kill her, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.

  • A Red Creek man was charged Wednesday, July 10 after he allegedly forced his ex-girlfriend into his car and threatened to kill her, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Keith C. Butler, 56, of 6892 State St., allegedly forced his ex-girlfriend into his vehicle after a dispute at the Airport Bar in Sodus, deputies said. He then allegedly kept her in the vehicle while drove around on back roads until he ended up on Rover Road in the town of Galen. Deputies said Butler then threatened his ex-girlfriend, allegedly telling her he’d kill her and throw her into the river.
    In being with the victim, Butler was violating a stay away order of protection issued out of Sodus Town Court.He has previous convictions for other family offenses within the preceding five years, deputies.
    Butler was charged second-degree kidnapping, aggravated criminal contempt, aggravated family offense and third-degree assault. He was arraigned in Galen Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail without bail.
