ONTARIO/FAIRPORT — Died on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at age 79.
Survived by his wife of 51 yrs, Phyllis A.; children, Judith (Jan) Odhner of Alaska, Nancy (Kerry) VanIseghem of Victor, Charles A. III (Melissa) of Macedon Center; seven grandsons, Kerry Jr., Curtis, Carson, Jaz, Cory, Tanner and Max.
Chuck owned and operated Curtis Funeral Home, Inc. in Fairport for 25 years. Member of Webster Presbyterian Church, he had a life of volunteerism, was active in Fairport Rotary, Perinton Chamber of Commerce and at Pines of Peace in Ontario.
Friends called from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec 27 at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the Webster Presbyterian Church, 550 Webster Road, Webster. Burial will be Lakeview Cemetery, Pultneyville.

NEWARK — Mary E. DeMott, 99, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at the DeMay Living Center
Friends called from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27 at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. A Mass of Christian burial wias celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 at St. Michael’s Church, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Mary was born in Newark, on June 18, 1913, the daughter of Phillip R. and Alice Dale DeMott. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church. She had worked at Bond Clothes, M.H. Fishman’s and Woolworths and as a Governess for the Ethel and Dewey Herman family for several years. Mary loved children and looked after the children of several other families as well as watching over the children of the neighborhood.
She is survived by her loving brother, James F. DeMott of Newark; nieces and nephews, Larry (Debbie), William (Susie), Steven (Dawn) DeMott, Patty Pofi, Joanne Tando, George II (Diane), Edward, Thomas (Lynn) DeMott and Michelle (Greg) Strong; several grand nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
Mancuso, Mary Jane
NEWARK — Mary Jane was received by God on her 79th birthday, Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 surrounded by her family, at the Wayne County Nursing Home.
Friends called 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 E. Miller St., Newark. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29 at St. Michael’s Church, Newark. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.

Mrs. Mancuso was born in Newark, the daughter of Thomas and Josephine Renaldi Policano. A communicant of St. Michael’s Church, she volunteered on the rummage sales and was a member of the Martha Ministries. After graduating from Newark High School, Mary Jane spent several years, at New York Telephone as an operator and in the offices. She retired from Fold Pac where she had also worked in the office. Mary Jane enjoyed her household, gardening and her family.
Page 2 of 2 - She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Vincent; daughters, Sandra (Steven) Frackenpohl of Skaneateles and Terri Mabon of Marion; four grandchildren, Abby and Alex Frackenpohl, Joseph and Mary Mabon; a brother, Thomas (Virginia) Policano of Newark; sisters-in-law, Joan Policano of Syracuse, Mary Harris of N.C. and Erma Mancuso of Newark; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary Jane is predeceased by an infant brother, John; and a brother, George Policano in 2012.
Nevil, Cecelia B. ‘Bernie’
PALMYRA — Nevil, Cecelia B. “Bernie”, Loving mother; died on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at the age of 91.
Family and friends were invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St., Palmyra. A mass of christian burial were offered at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 at St. Katherine Drexel Parish at St. Anne’s Church in Palmyra. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.

Mrs. Nevil was born on Dec. 12, 1921 in Palmyra, the daughter of Richard and Cecelia Gratton Rolland. Bernie was a member of St. Anne's Church, the Rosary and Altar Society of St. Gregory's Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anne's. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Palmyra Senior Citizens.
Bernie is predeceased by her husband, Robert; and daughter, Cecelia Ann. She is survived by her children, Katherine Wood, Margaret Rice, Patricia Frey, Teresa (David) Henderson, Lauren (Martin) Foos, Robert (Lorna) Nevil and Connor (Lynn) Nevil; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

PALMYRA — Weaver, William J., 86, died on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.

William was born on Nov. 13, 1926 in Walworth, the son of William and Anna Cator Weaver. He and the former Elsie June Bush were married on Sept. 20, 1947 in Walworth. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Navy flag in honor of Bill's service to our country during World War II.
Mr. Weaver was predeceased by his wife, Elsie; sons-in-law, Roger Corwin and Charles Carey; grandson, Patrick Carey and great-grandson, Max Yandow. He is survived by his children, Gloria Corwin, John (Cheryl) Weaver, Ruth ( Robert) Freudenvoll, Marcia (Michael) Krawecki, Leonard (Barbara) Weaver and Scott Weaver; sisters, Dorothy Amore and Virginia Britton; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
