  • The team at News10NBC is adding a new face this summer. Award-winning news anchor Scott Kilbury will bring nearly two decades of experience to the News10NBC team in Rochester.
Kilbury, a Utica native, is excited to return to the area where he spent his formative childhood years.
“I have fond memories of growing up in this area, working on a farm, fishing, and skiing,” said Kilbury, “I’m looking forward to introducing my children to the same adventures.”
“Scott has been a great advocate for his community and he is not afraid to ask the tough questions,” said News10NBC Vice President and General Manager Derek Dalton. “Scott’s energy and professionalism will be a great addition to our team and to our community. We are excited to have him on the anchor desk and look forward to watching his distinctive reporting style.”
Kilbury’s career began as Sports Director and anchor in Missoula, Montana. He continued to cover sports in Montana, Nebraska, and Arizona, for 13 years before moving over to the news desk as anchor in Tucson, Arizona. Scott is a proud recipient of several Associated Press awards and four regional Emmy awards.
“Scott will be a strong leader on air and in our community,” News10NBC News Director Steve Richards said. “He is a dedicated family man and I’m excited to get Scott integrated into our team.”
Kilbury is also actively involved as a Teaching Parent in the residence halls at the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB). In addition to teaching hearing-impaired students, he relished coaching athletics and announcing games for visually-impaired fans. It was at ASDB where he met Teresa, his wife of 20 years.
Kilburty will debut on the air at News10NBC later this July.
