Supervisor John Auberger and the members of the Greece Town Board are pleased to announce that plans are underway for the Town of Greece’s 14th Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 28, 2012.

“Memorial Day is an occasion of special importance for all Americans, because it provides each of us the opportunity to honor our loved ones and friends who made the supreme sacrifice for the liberties we enjoy,” said Auberger. “It is imperative that we remember the men and women who are currently in harm’s way protecting our freedom worldwide.” 

The Town’s schedule of events for Memorial Day is as follows:

10:00 a.m. Ceremony at the Flotilla at the Braddock Bay Marina

2:00 p.m. Annual Memorial Day Parade, Long Pond Road, from Janes Road to Greece Town Hall

Town of Greece Memorial Day Ceremony immediately following the Parade at Greece Town Hall

This event is open to the public.  Please note that Long Pond Road, between Janes Road and Latta Road will be closed from 1:30 p.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. for the parade.
