Newark — Ramph, Richard, P., 80, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at DeMay Living Center.


Calls were held from 2 to 5 p.m. April 27 at Schulz-Pusateri Funeral Home, 103 Maple Court, Newark. Services were held at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Fairville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.


Memorials can be made to a charity of choice.


Dick was born in Sept. 4, 1932, in Lyons, son of Dewey and Marion Hartnagel Ramph. He worked at Bloomer Bros. for 10 years. He retired from Mobil Chemical in 1994. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1953 to 1956, a life member of the Newark American Legion and chief of the Fairville Fire Department, where he served for 50 years. He was also a member of the Northern Central Fire Association.


He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barb Klahn Ramph; two sons, John (Evelyn), of Newark, and Ronald (Patricia), of Texas; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Jean Raes and Alice (Jim) Klhan; and nieces and nephews.


He was predeceased by a son, Donald, and sister, Doris (Robert) Klahn.
