“We did very well with our press tonight,” Lyons coach Eric Kuhn said. “They tried to go over the top a few times and they weren’t successful. Turnovers turned into easy baskets.”

The Lady Lions were led by senior point guard Gina Pursati, who scored a career-high 31 points, which included three 3-pointers. Pursati sat out the entire fourth quarter and is anticipated to reach the 1,000-point plateau on Thursday night when Lyons host North Rose-Wolcott (1-5). Pursati needs eight points to hit that milestone.

Once again all eight of the Lady Lions scored. For Lyons, Shaquana Tucker had 11 points and Hannah Shields added eight.  Sisters Hannah and Gator Shields combined for 16 rebounds, each pulling down eight. Lyons led at the end of the first quarter 22-4, and led at half time 45-9.
Sodus was led by Allison Switzer who scored 23, with Sarah Johnson and Anna Miranda  adding two points.
