The senior class saw first-hand the result of a decision to drink and drive in any circumstance.
On Thursday, May 9, 2013, two days before the Penfield Senior Ball, there was a re-enactment of a horrific car crash that involved high school teens who were drinking and driving. The senior class was brought to the “crash” and observed a teen tragedy. The Penfield health teachers, the Penfield Ambulance/Fire EMS, and the Penfield Police Department set the scene for a horrific car accident that resulted in a death, injuries and a DWI for the teen driver. These organizations spent hours setting the stage for a realistic experience for the teens.
The senior class saw first-hand the result of a decision to drink and drive in any circumstance. A big “thank you” to Penfield High School, the Penfield Fire Department/Ambulance Department, and Police Department for the dedication to ensuring that students arrive home safe from a wonderful teen experience of attending a Senior Ball.
Thankfully, when Penfield residents woke up on Sunday morning, the big news event was not happening with our Penfield kids.
