I personally lost count of the number of times Tom has gone to Albany to advocate for the children, our school district and the Webster community as a whole, using his personal time to do so.
As a member of the Webster community for over 25 years and having three children who attended the Webster School District, I’m writing to ask your support for Tom Nespeca, who is a candidate for re-election to the Board of Education.
From the time Tom and his family moved to Webster, he has been involved through various volunteer activities. He jumped right in by volunteering to teach in the St. Rita religious education program and participating in the parishes’ annual Fiesta event. Tom then became involved in his children’s activities, becoming a volunteer girls softball coach in the Webster Athletic Association, a very active member of the Webster HS Marching Band Booster Association, and involved for several years building stage sets for Webster High School musical productions. His real passion started when he was first elected to the Webster School Board, being both a very active member and officer of the Webster board in addition to becoming a member in the Monroe County School Board Association and currently, at the state level, serving as the NYS School Boards Association President.
Tom and I car-pooled to work for several years, and I would ask him why he spends so much time doing school board-related activities; he stated, to give back and to support the community and the children. I personally lost count of the number of times Tom has gone to Albany to advocate for the children, our school district and the Webster community as a whole, using his personal time to do so.
I am hopeful this letter will encourage you to give strong support to Tom in his re-election bid. We are at a critical time in education, and his experience counts.
