WHAT Macedon Center United Methodist Church bicentennial celebration

Event highlights
1 The bicentennial celebration will be kicked off on Sunday, June 3 with a church Open House from 2 to 4 p.m. The public is invited to tour the building and view displays significant to local and church history. The Macedon Historical Society, located across from the church, is also joining the event with tours and information sharing of local history at its facility.

2 On Sunday, June 10, the celebration continues with a Potluck Picnic starting after the 9:30 a.m. church service. Following the picnic, children and adults will be able to participate in games typical of years past.  

3 A  concert of 19th century instrumental music performed by Alan Hopkins will close the celebration. The concert will start at 1 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
 
More about the event    
After months of planning for the 200th Anniversary of the Macedon Center United Methodist Church, congregation members are eagerly inviting the community to join in with the scheduled celebrations for this milestone in church history. Both the Macedon Center United Methodist Church, commonly referred to as the church with the yellow steeple, and the Macedon Historical Society are located slightly west of the intersection of Macedon Center and Canandaigua roads in Macedon. The public is invited to attend any or all of these bicentennial events.
