    Deputies: Newark man threatened to kill ex-girlfriend
    A 29-year-old Newark man is in jail after, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said, he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend.
    Gregory Parish is charged with criminal contempt, criminal mischief, menacing, aggravated harassment, obstructing governmental administration and endangering the welfare of a child.
    Deputies said Parish sent his ex-girlfriend several threatening text messages, violating a stay-away order of protection. According to investigators, while they were trying to locate Parish, he went to his ex-girlfriend’s home, kicked in the door and threatened to kill her and one of his friends with a knife. Deputies said the incident happened in front of two young children.
    Parrish was charged with an additional count of criminal mischief after he kicked the back window of the patrol car, causing damage, deputies said.
    Parrish was arraigned and sent to the Wayne County Jail on bail.
    Macedon
    Argument leads to arrest
    A Lyons man was charged Oct. 2 with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment, New York state police said.
    Jeremy H. Foster, 21, of 111 Geneva St., was charged following an investigation into a domestic dispute that occurred on Sept. 9 in the town of Macedon.  
    He was arraigned in Macedon Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bail bond.
    Sodus
    Man charged with selling drugs
    The Wayne County Narcotics Enforcement Team, WayneNET, announces the arrest of a Wolcott resident following a month long investigation into the sales of crack cocaine in the Village of Sodus area.
    Taleis M. Rosser, 31, of Pinewood Drive, is accused of selling the narcotic drug known as crack cocaine, police said. Rosser was charged with two counts each of the following class B Felonies, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
    He was arraigned in Williamson Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail without bail due to prior convictions for felony sales and possession of narcotic drugs. Rosser is to appear in the Sodus Town Court on a later date.
    Ontario
    Four injured in early morning crash    
    Four people were injured after a one-car crash in Wayne County early Saturday morning.
    Sheriff's Deputies say the 41-year-old driver, who is from Buffalo, was driving west on Route 104 at around 4:30 a.m. when it appears that he fell asleep and drove off the road and crashed into a tree. The incident happened between Knickerbocker and Ontario Center Roads in the town of Ontario.
    The driver had four passengers in the car, all of whom were injured and were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. One of those passengers is in guarded condition.

    Man charged with assault
    A Lyons man was charged Oct. 6 with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a C felony, second-degree assault, a D felony, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing, New York state police said.
    Philip M. Thomas, 29, of 7321 Jackson Hill Road, was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute at his residence involving a female subject, police said. Thomas, a convicted felon, was allegedly in possession of a loaded shotgun during the dispute.  
    He was arraigned in Galen Town Court and csent to the Wayne County Jail without bail.
    State police were assisted at the scene by Wayne County sheriff's deputies.
    Williamson
    Man charged with UPM
    A Penfield man was charged Sept. 29 with speeding and unlawful possession of marijuana, New York state police said.
    Christopher J. Masterton, 24, was allegedly stopped for speeding at 10 p.m. on Route 104 in Williamson and found to have marijuana, troopers said.
    He was issued appearance tickets for Williamson Town Court and released.
    Lyons
    Two charged with trespass
    A Lyons man and woman were charged Sept. 26 with second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree criminal mischief, New York state police said.
    Brianna M. Lee, 19, and Alec J. Haitz, 20, were charged following an investigation into a trespass complaints at a residence in the town of Lyons, troopers said.
    They were both issued appearance tickets for Lyons Town Court and released.
    Galen
    Man charged with possessing drugs
    A Savannah man was charged Sept. 1 with disorderly conduct, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Timothy C. Caves, 43, of Lopez Lane, was allegedly seen jumping in front of oncoming traffic on Route 31 and found to have drugs on him, deputies said.
    He was issued appearance tickets for Galen Town Court and released.
    Rose
    Traffic stop nets drug arrest
    A Newark woman was charged Sept. 24 with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle without an interlock ignition device and tinted windows, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Rebecca L. Boise, 27, of 305 E. Miller St., was stopped in North Rose and found to have cocaine on her, deputies said.
    She was arraigned in Rose Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash or $4,000 bail bond.
    Arcadia
    Men allegedly found with stolen trailer
    Two Arcadia men were charged Sept. 27 with criminal possession of stolen property, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Page 3 of 5 - Anthony L. Santiago, 29, and Seth D. Brown, 31, were allegedly seen by a neighbor at a Coleman Hill Road address in Arcadia and found by deputies to have a trailer that had been stolen from that address, as well as a motorcycle that been reported to stolen to the Newark Police Department, deputies said. Santiago was subsequently charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and Brown with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony.
    Both men were arraigned in Arcadia Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail, $1,000 cash or $2,000 bail bond for Santiago and $5,000 cash or $10,000 bail bond for Brown.
    The investigation is ongoing.
    Ontario
    Man allegedly prevents phone call
    An Ontario man was charged Sept. 27 with fourth-degree criminal mischief, New York state police said.
    David R Oviatt, 42, was charged  after he allegedly prevented another person from making an emergency call during a domestic disturbance, troopers said.
    He was arraigned in Ontario Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
    Lyons
    Man dies in motorcycle crash
    The Wayne County sheriff’s office says a Lyons man has died fter his motorcycle crashed on a sharp curve in the town of Lyons Sunday evening, Nov. 11.
    Bruce A. Patnaude, 55, of 18 Foster St., was traveling north on Maple Street Road when he drove off the road west side of the road while going around a sharp curve, deputies said.
    He was taken to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
    Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
    Deputies were assisted at the scene by Lyons Town Ambulance and Lyons Fire Department.
    Walworth
    Two charged with harassment
    Two Rochester women were each charged Sept. 30 with second-degree harassment, New York state police said.
    Rita M. Laveck, 30, and Lacy M. Chateauneuf, 25, were charged following an investigation into a harassment complaint in the town of Walworth, troopers said.
    They were issued apprearance tickets for Walworth Town Court and released.
    Sodus
    Alleged shoplifter nabbed    
    A Sodus woman was charged on Sept. 25 with petit larceny, New York state police said.
    Carlotta Ford, 32, was charged after a trooper responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Dollar General on Ridge Road in Sodus, troopers said. Ford was allegedly seen on surveillance video shoplifting a pair of slippers worth $15 by hiding them in her purse and then leaving the store without paying for them.  
    She was issued an appearance ticket for Sodus Town Court and released.
    Wolcott
    Two charged after traffic stop
    A Sterling man and a Red Creek woman were charged on Oct. 15 with unlawful posession of marijuana, New York state police said.
    Page 4 of 5 - Driver, Zachary Smith, 21, of 14285 Acre Road, and Kaitlyn G, Gardner, 18, of 481 Victory Road, were stopped during a roadcheck on Route 104 for tinted windows, troopers said, and found to have marijuana on them. Smith was additionally charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
    Smith was arraigned in Wolcott Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail on $250 cash bail.
    Gardner was issued an appearance ticket for Wolcott Town Court and released.
    Rose
    Man allegedly takes car
    A North Rose man was charged Oct. 5 with third-degree unauthorized use of moter vehicle and seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, New York state police said.
    Jerome L. Yates, 42, of 11328 Lyman Road, was charged following a complaints on Lyman Road in Rose where it was discovered he had allegedly taken a vehicle from the residence without permission, troopers said. Yates was located driving the vehicle on Lyman Road.  
    He was arraigned in Rose Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.
    Palmyra
    Woman charged with DWI
    A Marion woman was charged Sept. 9 with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or more and failing to maintain her lane of traffic, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Renee A. Brown, 43, of 4169 N. Main St., was allegedly stopped on Route 21 in Palmyra and found to be under the influence of alcohol, deputies said.
    She was issued appearance tickets for Palmyra Town Court and released.
    Sodus
    Man allegedly violates order
    A Sodus man was charged Sept. 29 with second-degree criminal contempt, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Adam F. Dye, 32, of 5827 Shaker Road, was allegedly seen by deputies at the victim’s house, violating a stay away order of protection, deputies said.
    He was arraigned in Sodus Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
    Palmyra
    Woman charged following traffic stop
    A Walworth woman was charged Oct. 13 with  driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or more andand failing to keep right, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Amanda L. Leberth, 27, of 3573 Main St., was stopped for allegedly crossing the center line on Route 21 in Palmyra. After failing field sobriety tests, she was placed under arrest.
    She was issued appearance tickets for Palmyra Town Court and released.
    Williamson
    Man charged with UPM
    A Williamson man was charged Oct. 4 with unlawful possession of marijuana and not wearing seat belt, New York state police said.
    Andrew C. Durfee, 35, of 5820 Route 21, was stopped for allegedly not wearing a seat belt and found to have marijuana, troopers said.

    Walworth
    Man allegedly found with cocaine
    A Walworth man was charged Sept. 27 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Jeffrey P. Whalen, 32, of 967 Kuttruff Road, was allegedly found with a quantity of crack cocaine at his home during a home visit from his probation officer, deputies said.
    He was arraigned in Walworth Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail.
    Palmyra
    Argument leads to arrest
    A Palmyra man was charged Sept. 24 with second-degree criminal contempt, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    David W. Pechler, 56, of 4577 Route 31, was charged following a verbal argument with the victim, violating a stay away order of protection by being in her residence, deputies said.
    He was arraigned in Palmyra Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
    Ontario
    Man charged following crash
    A Williamson man was charged Oct. 15 with driving while ability impaired, unsafe speed and third-degree assault, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
    Ryan M. Datthyn, 19, of 3163 Kenyon Road, was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle accident on July 18, injuring a passenger in the vehicle, while under the influence of alcohol, deputies said.
    He was issued appearance tickets for Ontario Town Court and released.
