  • New York State Police in Williamson are still investigating a fire in Marion that claimed a man’s life.
On Nov. 1, around 8 a.m., troopers responded to a fatal house fire on Route 21 in Marion. Upon arrival, they observed the home at 5025 Route 21 on fire. Within minutes of their arrival, the Marion and Williamson fire departments were on scene battling the structure fire. Once the fire was under control, entry was gained and firefighters located a male victim in the home.
Investigators believe the victim, Robert S. Kymble, 63, owned the home and was the only one in the residence at the time of the fire. A positive identification will be done and the results of that will be released later. The deceased was removed by the Wayne County Coroner David Hannan.
