A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle while jogging Tuesday afternoon in Walworth, New York State Police officers said.

Cory Anderson, 30, of Walworth was jogging eastbound on Finley Road in Walworth when he started to cross the road. A motor vehicle driven by Philip Peck, 47, of Palmyra also was traveling eastbound on Finley Road when Anderson ran in front of the vehicle, which struck Anderson and sent him several feet in the air, State Police said.

Anderson was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment as he complained of chest pain and had difficulty breathing, but he was conscious, alert, and his limbs worked, said State Police.

No charges at the present time have been brought against Peck, said State Police.
