Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and DeMay Living Center team members raised $578 for the American Cancer Society’s Wayne County “Relay for Life” through fundraisers including a basket raffle and a new on-going fundraiser dubbed “Casual for a Cause.”

Casual for a Cause allows NWCH-DLC team members to dress down on a specific day (business casual) in exchange for making a $1 donation towards a pre-designated non-profit.

“Many of our team members have supported non-profits such as Relay for Life for a very long time,” said Mark Klyczek, president, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.  “We felt that it was important to support their cause and also to engage our team members in giving back to the community in an even bigger way. Casual for a Cause is that effort.”
