    Event highlights
    1 The Grand Parade “Honoring Those in Uniform” will take place on Friday, July 23 beginning at 7 p.m.
    2 The Festival Five 5K race/walk begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 24. This special event is sponsored by the Gananda Insurance Center.
    3 Cruise Night with Friends in the Park will be held from 4 to 8 p.m.
    Why you should attend
    There will be activities for all ages at the 20th annual Festival in the Park. Visitors can enjoy food and vendor booths all afternoon Friday and Saturday. A free showing of “Shark Tale” will begin at 7 p.m. Friday evening or try some luck at a game of bingo under the tent. On Saturday, from 4 to 9 p.m. have fun rock climbing, on the bungee trampoline, bounce house, bungee run and human foosball. Beginning at 5 p.m. learn a line dance then listen to the best in country and 50s and 60s music with the band, New Horizons. The festival ends with a bang as fireworks light up the night sky beginning at 10:15 p.m.
