Police said David Cruz, 32, had a fight with the person at the Express Mart, and when she attempted to get out of the parked car, Cruz put the car into reverse and accelerated.

A Wolcott man is facing charges after police said he dragged another person with a car at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Express Mart in Macedon.

Police said David Cruz, 32, had a fight with the person at the Express Mart, and when she attempted to get out of the parked car, Cruz put the car into reverse and accelerated. The person was caught between the door and the pavement, and Cruz allegedly continued backing up, dragging her under the car, police said.

Cruz was charged with leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident, unlicensed operation of a vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, assault, reckless endangerment and driving while intoxicated.

Cruz is due back in Macedon Village Court on Nov. 14. An order of protection was issued for the victim, police said.
