  • Wayne County Public Health, in cooperation with Lyons Veterinary Clinic and the Village of Newark, is hosting our winter Rabies Clinic for pets from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the village town barns, 100 Wood Lane in Newark.
All cats, dogs, and ferrets that are four months or older are required by law to be vaccinated against rabies.
All dogs must be leashed and cats/ferrets securely confined in a carrier to prevent injuries and escapes.  A $5 donation is requested to help defray costs, but no pet will be denied vaccination due to the inability to donate. The goal is to protect our community by vaccinating as many pets as possible.
For additional information or questions, call Wayne County Public Health at 946-5749.
