The school is trying to raise enough money to send at least four veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II Monument.

The Marion Student Council and Marion community are collecting cans and bottles deposits for Honor Flight. The school is trying to raise enough money to send at least four veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II Monument.

Drop off locations for cans and bottles are at the following: Marion Elementary School, 3863 North Main St., behind the school in the door by the gymnasium on school days from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Greenway Bottle and Can Return in Palmyra; E-Z Bottle and Can Return, 1167 East Union St., Newark on Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Alpco Recycling, 846 Macedon Center Road, Macedon.

Please label your bags of returns for “Honor Flight.”

Monetary donations are also accepted.  Please make checks payable to Marion Student Council, 3863 North Main St., Marion, N.Y. 14505
