Man allegedly threatens person with knife
ONTARIO — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of John G. Guerrero, 42, of Slocum Road, Ontario, on June 28. It is alleged that during an argument, Guerrero had a knife in his hand and raised it in a threatening manner toward another member of his household. He was arrested for third-degree menacing and arraigned in Ontario Town Court. He was remanded to Wayne County Jail with a $500 cash bail. He is to appear back in court at a later date to answer the charges.
Man charged with DWI
MACEDON — A Palmyra man was charged July 10 with felony driving while intoxicated, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Christian D. Miskell, 20, of Vienna Road, was allegedly stopped for speeding on Main Street in Macedon, deputies said. He allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.
He was arraigned in Macedon Village Court and released on his own recognizances.
Man allegedly found with drugs
WALWORTH — A Walworth man was charged July 9 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Clarence A. Ginegaw, 62, of 3707 Main St., was allegedly found to have 48 percocet pills that didn’t belong to him, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Walworth Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
Children leave home while mom sleeps
ROSE — A Rose woman was charged July 10 with endangering the welfare of a child, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Jessica Vanopdurp, 24, of Wayne Center Road Road, was allegedly sleeping at home while her two children left the residence and walked down the road unsupervised, deputies said.
She was arraigned in Rose Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $2,000 bail bond.
Man allegedly found asleep behind the wheel
MACEDON — A Virginia man was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated, Macedon police said.
Scott J. Bolan, 48, was charged after police received a report to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway leading to Mobil Chemical Route 31 in Macedon, police said. The investigation revealed that Bolan had passed out and was sleeping in his vehicle with the motor running and his foot on the brake.
Bolan was found to be intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of .23 percent.
He was processed and was released to a third party. Bolan is to return to Macedon Town Court on Aug. 6.
Deputies: Palmyra man charged with DWI after two crashes
VICTOR — A Palmyra man was charged Saturday by Ontario County sheriff’s deputies with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident, failure to comply with a police officer, following too closely, unlicensed operator, failure to stop at a red signal, failure to yield at a red signal and leaving the scene of a property-damage accident.
Page 2 of 3 - Deputies said John T. Snyder, 47, of 4008 state Route 31, was charged after he was allegedly involved in two hit-and-run crashes in Victor.
Snyder was arraigned in Victor Town Court and sent to the Ontario County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court.
Man charged after traffic stop
SAVANNAH — A Savannah man was charged July 11 with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or more and failing to keep right, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Joseph J. Cook, 31, of 3067 Aikins Road, was stopped and allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol, deputies said.
He was issued appearance tickets for Savannah Town Court and released.
Man charged with larceny
MARION — A Marion man was charged July 5 with petit larceny, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Kyle N. Holmes, 25, of 5075 Route 21, allegedly admitted to taking $830 from the Marion Express Mart where he was employed for two days, deputies said. Holmes allegedly placed the money in the garbage can of the men’s bathroom where other staff members located it later.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Marion Town Court and released.
Man allegedly breaks window
ONTARIO — A Webster man was charged July 7 with third-degree criminal mischief, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Richard D. Hewitt, 41, allegedly got into an argument with his father and punched a large glass window, breaking it, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Ontario Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail.
Man allegedly flees police
ARCADIA — A Chili man was charged June 22 with first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and several traffic violations, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Patrick J. Ketchum, 42, of 18 Pleasant View Dr., was stopped by Lyons police on Layton Street for a traffic violation, but as the officer approached, Ketchum took off, deputies said. He was later spotted by deputies in Arcadia, but refused to pull over and crashed his when he drove through the intersection at Route 88 and Welcher Road. He then took off on foot, deputies said.
The passenger in Ketchum’s vehicle was not injured. Police searched and located Kethcum after a foot pursuit.
He was arraigned in Arcadia Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail without bail.
Man charged after May accident
HURON — A Williamson man was charged June 19 with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving with a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent or more, speeding, failing to keep right, moved from lane unsafely, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and fourth-degree criminal mischief, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Page 3 of 3 - John R. Miller, 49, of 7515 Lake Ave., was allegedly involved in two separate motor vehicle accidents on May 24 from which the charges stem.
Miller was issued appearance tickets for Huron Town Court and released.
Woman charged with DWI
CLYDE — A Savannah woman was charged July 6 with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or more, inadequate headlights and open container, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Cindy L. Dehaven, 36, of 3039 Reed Road, was allegedly stopped by police in Clyde and found to be under the influence of alcohol, deputies said.
She was issued appearance tickets for Clyde Village Court and released.
