  • This letter is in response to Benjamin Wachs’ column, “America’s Muslims on our side (April 19 Daily Messenger):
I read your opinion, and I don't have a good answer for you, because I don't have the facts that you seem to have.
But what does it take to make a terrorist?
The Boston monsters left Europe because they believed that it was not safe to stay there any longer and moved to the USA.
We gave them a home, education and sanctuary.
We took them in, and we hoped that they would be good citizens.
The younger of the two became a naturalized American only last September.
The older monster married an American girl and has a daughter.
What happened to make them harm innocent people that they didn't even know?
The young lady killed at the Marathon wasn't even an American.
    She came from China.
Maybe the 3 million Muslims in America are good people. But that doesn't excuse the few that are intolerant, and preach hate, and practice mayhem.
Christians and Jews aren't committing terrorist acts against the Muslims.
Why are these individuals shooting rockets in Israel, and bombing buses.
Why are they attacking schools and theaters in Russia, and slaughtering innocents?
Why did they blow up the U.S. Marine barracks in Lebanon, and the USS Cole? These people weren't bothering them.
Why did the Ottoman Turks invade and occupy Armenia, then slaughter countless innocents?
Why did Muslim gunman invade a village in Nigeria just recently and slaughter 186 innocents.
I feel that if these 3 million good Muslims don't want to be heaped with the Islamist losers in their midst, that they would turn them in and be rid of them.
I can't excuse it when good people allow something like this to happen, and do nothing.
