  • Kasey Levan, daughter of Dan and Lisa Levan of Marion received academic honors at Daemen College by making the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester.  To be eligible for dean’s list status, a matriculated undergraduate student must attain a grade point average of 3.30 or better in any one semester. Levan is a sophomore currently studying nursing.
    • Several local students have recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Alfred State College. Students named to the dean’s list include Cody Arliss, of Clyde; Lucas Salerno, of Clyde; Matthew Hickman, of Macedon; Joshua Krest, of Macedon; Laura Smith, of Macedon; Dalton Thomas, of Marion; Sean Nolan, of Palmyra; Kodie Tompkins, of Savannah; Nicholas Bigelow, of Williamson; and Jacob Paquette, of Williamson. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must achieve and maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
    • Walworth student John Capone has recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Calif. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete 15 semester hours and earn a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher.
    • Macedon student Audrey Allen and Walworth resident Taryn Dibble have recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Siena College. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must achieve and maintain a GPA between 3.5 and 3.89. Allen is a junior currently studying Spanish, while Dibble is a senior studying psychology.
    • Several local students have recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Wells College in Aurora. Students named to the dean’s list include Rachel Partington, of Macedon; Emily Middlebrook, of Newark; Erich Kaempffe, of North Rose; and Laura Allard, of Williamson. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete 12 credit hours during the semester and earn a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher.
    • A number of local students have recently been recognized as presidential scholars for the fall 2012 semester at Clarkson University. Students who received this honor include Kenneth J. Baker, of Marion; Hayley B. Burm, of Newark; Hannah Marchitell, of Clyde; and Kendra L. Stewart, of North Rose. To be named a presidential scholar, students must complete at least 14 credit hours during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.8 or higher.
    • Several local students have recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Clarkson University. Students named to the dean’s list include Hayden T. DeMeyers, of Palmyra; Jonas Z. Ebert, of Palmyra; Emma R. Hayes, of North Rose; Jonathan M. Krest, of Macedon; Alexandra N. Wolfe, of Macedon; Zachary I. Rauen, of Ontario; and Robert A. Verbridge, of Williamson. To be named to the dean’s list, students must complete at least 14 credit hours during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Students named to the dean’s include Melissa Royal, of Macedon; Ryan Ford, of Newark; Allison Wilck, of Newark; Stephanie Bellingham, of Ontario; Leandra Griffith, of Palmyra; Maggie Selner, of Palmyra; Brandon DeRue, of Williamson; Emily Lindsay, of Williamson; Rayanne Luke, of Williamson; Scott Williams, of Savannah; Emily Maulm, of Macedon; Kara Finegan, of Marion; Sarah Christ, of Palmyra; and Samuel Lester, of Palmyra. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete 12 credit hours and maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher during the semester.
    • Palmyra student Megan Harding has recently been named to the deans’ list for the fall 2012 semester at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must achieve and maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher. Harding is a sophomore currently studying nursing and psychology.
    • Ontario student Brandyn Friedly has recently been named to the president’s list for the fall 2012 semester at SUNY Geneseo. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must complete 12 credit hours and maintain a GPA of 4.0 during the semester.
    • Several local students have recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Alfred University. Students named to the dean’s list include Erica Smyth, of Palmyra; Zoey Houser, of Newark; Kaele Mulberry, of Newark; and Shaun Turner, of Macedon. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must achieve and maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher.
    • Williamson student Noelle S. White has recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must achieve and maintain a GPA of at least 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale. White is a graduate of Williamson Senior High School.
    • Ontario student Claire B. Wayman has recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Juniata College in Huntington, Pa. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must achieve and maintain a GPA of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale. Wayman is a 2009 graduate of the Homeschool Clearing House.
    • Savannah student Lisa McCartney and Walworth native Jessica Tallinger have recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Paul Smith’s College. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must achieve and maintain a GPA of at least 3.3 or higher. McCartney is currently studying culinary arts and service management, and Tallinger is currently studying baking and pastry arts.
    Page 3 of 3 - • Marion student Austin Patrick May has recently been named to the president’s list at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina. The president’s list recognized those students who excel in both academics and military duty throughout the semester. May is currently studying physical education and is a member of the Third Battalion staff.
    • Savannah student Casey Emmett and Marion resident Alyssa Rothfuss have recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at SUNY Oneonta. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must complete 12 credit hours and achieve a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher.
    • Macedon student Raymond Boss has recently been named to the provost’s list for the fall 2012 semester at SUNY Oneonta. To be named to the provost’s list, students must achieve and maintain a GPA of 4.0 during the semester.
    • Walworth student Parastou Ranjbar has recently been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. Ranjbar was one of more than 1900 Wake Forest students to be named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester.
