Police roundup: This week in crime
A Webster woman was charged March 17 with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or more, Macedon police said.
Pamela Ferry, 29, was stopped for speeding on Route 31 in the town of Macedon at about 2:10 a.m. and allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol, police said. Her BAC was .15 percent.
She was issued appearance tickets Macedon Town Court and released.
Police: Driver’s BAC was .21 percent
A Macedon man was charged March 17 with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, failing to stop for a stop sign and failure to keep right, Macedon police said.
James Carr, 51, of Quaker Road, was stopped on Quaker Road for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep right, police said. The investigation revealed that Carr was allegedly highly intoxicated and was just trying to get to his home. He was given a breath test and his BAC was found to be .21 percent, police said.
He was issued appearance tickets for Macedon Town Court and released to a third party.
Man charged with DWI
A Macedon man was charged March 16 with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or more, Macedon police said.
Ian M. Happell, 26, of Crest Avenue, was allegedly stopped on Erie Street in the village of Macedon for speeding in a 30 mile per hour zone, police said. After investigation, he was found to have a BAC of .11 percent.
He was issued appearance tickets for Macedon Village Court and released.
Man charged after domestic dispute
A Newark man was charged Jan. 22 with second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree criminal contempt, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Allen Miller, 32, of Blue Cut Road, was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute in Williamson violating a court order, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Williamson Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail.
Palmyra woman charged in domestic dispute
Sarah M. O’Brien, 30, of Macedon Center Road, Palmyra, was arrested Feb. 17 by Wayne County sheriff’s deputies as the result of a domestic dispute between O’Brien and a family member and was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. It is alleged that Obrien punched the family member in the face and destroyed property belonging to the family member.
Obrien was arraigned in Palmyra Town Court and was released with a stay away order of protection. Obrien is to appear in Palmyra Town Court at a later date to answer to the charges.

Vehicle slides off road
A Lyons woman was ticketed Feb. 1 with failing to reduce speed for the special hazards and operating a motor vehicle without insurance, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Casey L. Wood, 25, of 3305 Layton Street Road, was traveling north on Lembke Road in Arcadia when she lost control on snow and ice covered roadways, deputies said. Her vehicle slid off the road into a ditch striking road sign.
She was transported by Fairville Ambulance to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
She was issued appearance tickets for Arcadia Town Court and released.
Fairville Fire Department and Lyons ALS assisted at the scene.
Man charged with felony DWI
A Rochester man was charged Feb. 1 with felony driving while intoxicated, felony driving while ability impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol and speeding, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Dakota A. Swift, 24, of 380 W. Ridge Road, was stopped in September on Route 104 in Williamson for speeding and allegedly found to be drinking and using marijuana, deputies said.
She was issued appearance tickets for Williamson Town Court and released.
Williamson man charged with grand larceny
Wayne County sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronald J. Desbrough, 28, of Ridgeway St., Williamson, following an investigation into a domestic disturbance. Deputies alleged that Desbrough took a debit card without permission from the purse of a relative following a domestic disturbance at that relative’s house in the town of Sodus.
Desbrough was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. He was arraigned before the Sodus Town Court where he was remanded to Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail. He will reappear before the Sodus Town Court at a later date to answer these charges.
Woman charged following disturbance
A Sodus woman was charged Jan. 31 with obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of marijuana, second-degree harassment, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operator, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Miyrane S. Nash, 20, of 6900 Pratt Road, was allegedly involved in a disturbance on State Street in the village of Sodus and when placed under arrest allegedly resisted arrest, deputies said.
She was arraigned in Sodus Town Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bail.
Driver allegedly impaired
Horace Betts III, 27, of Maple Street, Lyons, was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies on Feb. 23 for driving while ability impaired by drugs. The charges stem from the results of a blood test from a previous traffic stop. It is alleged that Betts was under the influence of marijuana while operating a vehicle in the town of Arcadia. He was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle for driving while license was revoked. Subsequent to the vehicle search, Betts was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana after finding a piece of rock cocaine and marijuana inside the vehicle.

Man allegedly found with drugs
Derek M. Shove, 27, of 1293 Spring Street Road, Cayuga, was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies on Feb. 24 for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument. After a traffic stop, he was found in possession of heroin and two hypodermic needles. Shove was released on appearance tickets for the Village of Lyons Court. He will appear at a later time to answer to the charges.
Man allegedly violates court order
An Arcadia man was charged Jan. 31 with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment, Wayne County sheriff’s deputies said.
Robert L. McKoy, 44, of 6535 Bluecut Road, was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute at his residence, violating a court order, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Arcadia Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
