  • Rep. Dan Maffei (D-NY) hosted a small business round table discussion Saturday at Brantling Ski and Snowboard Center in Sodus as part of his district-wide listening tour focused on job creation.
Citing creating more jobs, fixing the economy, and growing the middle class as his top priorities; Maffei held a round table discussion Saturday with Wayne County small business owners and small business development leaders. Maffei listened to their ideas and discussed ways to expand small businesses and work together to create new jobs and grow the region’s economy.
“Growing the middle class, creating jobs, and fixing the economy are my top priorities as Central New York’s new representative,” said Maffei. “Saturday’s round table discussion was an opportunity for me to listen to Wayne County small business owners and talk about ways we can partner to expand small businesses and create jobs. After Saturday’s very productive conversation, I am committed to working with these and other local small business owners to help make Wayne County and all of Central New York a more competitive place to do business and create new good paying jobs in our community.”
The round table discussion was part of a series of listening tour events Maffei is hosting throughout the district. Maffei held similar round table discussions in Onondaga, Cayuga, and Oswego counties earlier this year. Maffei has hosted listening tour events in all four counties in New York’s 24th Congressional district. To date, Maffei has met with over 100 small business owners and economic leaders since becoming Central New York’s new representative.
